Please move the horde cave in AV so we can prove our point

…you don’t see how it’s advantageous to the Horde to start the game with initiative? If they win the first fight the game is over. If they lose the Alliance still has to cross FoS and fight them again (near THEIR NPCs and with actually effective chokes and tower cover). Also…they don’t HAVE to fight near Balinda. If Alliance tries to make the fight happen there the Horde can just go cap SHGY.

Also Horde have substantial advantages in reinforcement times, so even if Alliance wins the first engagement it’s way harder for them to hold IBGY than for Horde to hold SHGY because the Horde spawn 20 at a time in the nearby cave.

no, its not that alone. however, compare iceblood graveyard to stonehearth. stonehearth is a literal choke point for rezzing alliance - there is one way out, whereas horde can attack from multiple angles and easily avoid tower aggro.

iceblood on the other hand, there is one one point of attack which requires passing a tower, whereas horde have multiple options for escape routes and literal high ground.

this is just one example of the many issues with the map, this isnt even taking into consideration the ability to wallwalk and bypass dun baldar bridge entirely. combine all of this with shorter travel time? it adds up quickly.

Did you even read the words I wrote that you quoted? Where I mentioned Alliance winning it after 1.12?

So I know that none of the Blizzard Devs care about their community anymore. I’m just venting at this point. They spend so much time and resources on trying to break the ability of the alliance from using the game as it was originally constructed to gain a competitive advantage. Meanwhile, they do nothing to remove the competitive advantage the horde has. At this point it is likely that I will soon be quitting this game as they do everything they can to screw over the alliance in every way. There was literally no reason to make the latest change. All the games were filled. The premades still had a random comp which made them about even when you considered the installed horde competitive advantage from the game layout. If they don’t move the cave in the next week or two they can keep the game to themselves. I was actually considering playing the latest expansion because I thought with the release of classic they were finally listening to their community. It’s still the same old blizzard though. They know what is best for us regardless of what feedback we give them. This company has destroyed classic wow for me.

Straight lines drawn on paper that are not possible to follow in the game are obviously accurate to measure distance. Goodness, I weep at humanity some days.

alliance won after 1.12 because of the massive gear disparity - come 1.12, you had folks in naxx gear who could easily demolish av in small groups.

Alliance by and large were FAR more progressed in naxx, and pve in general on average in vanilla (see: the original list of vanilla KT killing guilds for an example). By this point at the end of vanilla, it was incredibly noticable. I would stand on towers on my warlock just tab dotting everyone who passed. Most players couldnt survive 2 dots, let alone 3.

That isnt the game climate we’re living in right now.

Please show me the paths in that image that you feel are inaccessible then, my dear AV expert. (hint: its the alliance ones)

Yes obviously, but this is just a quick and dirty way to show how much farther Alliance have to travel to objectives on this map. The actual distances are longer for both factions but the proportions are still roughly there. It’s obviously true that Horde spawn closer to mid than Alliance given that Horde beat Alliance past mid literally every game. It should also be obvious that the Horde’s cave is significantly closer to IBGY than SPGY is to SHGY (not to mention that 20 at a time spawn in the cave instead of 10).

You just only serving to expose how little critical thinking you have applied to this topic. The game is not played the same way, tactics have changed, the community has changed, the faction imbalance is totally different. The list goes on. Stop being stupid.

Also why are we just taking as fact the anecdotal, 15 year old recollection of people on the internet?

No clue it’s so stupid I can’t understand how people think this is the same exact wow from 15 years ago with the same population lol.

I guess alliance simply became worse at the game then.

Just flip the map for a weekend and let’s see what happens.

When everything and everyone clicked, we usually wiped them at BAL
It kind of worked out well timing and everything.

I like the older AV better but.

Classic has voice built in for every group/instance/what ever
All one has to do, is actually use it, and stop saying it’s cancer.

If that’s true then let’s move the cave since apparently only thing holding allies back is our player skill. Youll still win with even starting distances if you are just better like you seem to think.

Definitely should be moved back. We get to SH after they start getting to belinda, huge advantage point for them. Pretty confident that’s also a huge thing why alliance don’t go for galv.

Flip the map, flip the map!

Something we can all agree on.

How dumb is a horde pug who hits alliance on the front side of bals bunker? They should be cutting them off behind bals bunker or on the shb side of shgy. There are no elites at either location. I don’t even recall the last time we bumped heads in front of bals bunker.

Fine, let’s move cave back, but
Lets put back all the other stuff too.
I want mass corpse piles in field of strife again, and getting blind sided by charges etc.
