The sockpuppets are out in full effect.
Swapping the narrative to real life incoming.
Not all the time. Sometimes Iâm defending or not in the team fight. Definitely not struggling as a casual.
Well it sounds like all you do is team fight because you really donât seem to understand the importance of small skirms on nodes.
Eh before I get mean Iâm gonna stop⌠Anyways keep up the good fight! Iâm going to go enjoy those twink free bgs
Iâve had little skirms. Depending on class I win some/lose some.
Yea it was. There were people on this forum making it sound like every game was vs 5+ twink premades and were causing new players to be turned off from pvping. Can someone actually point me to a source that proves that exp on bgs has increase participation now that they removed exp off? I donât see any evidence anywhere that shows that removing twinks inspires thousands and thousands of players who were scared or turned off from pvping cause of twinks to play more bgs. Iâm actually seeing participation drop because now all these twink players arenât getting to play their chars and are unsubbing or quitting low level pvp altogether.
Yep! My friendâs list, which grew to well over 60 people, has dwindled down to just maybe 6 or 7 people logged in, all of them have unsubbed, or just wander around BFA doing mindless world dailies.
Daily conversations and camaraderie is gone, communities are dead silent.
WoW has gone back to being a single player mode MMO.
Twinking was the last aspect of this game that was fun for many of us.
I mean, I am guilty as charged of thinking and assuming that every BG was riddled with twinks, and every loss was because they had twinks, but then Juga was the one who pointed out to me that she wasnât seeing it, and I actually took the time to listen to what she was saying, and started looking for myself for all these darned twinks⌠and low and behold⌠I found VERY few level 50+⌠(oftentimes me being literally the ONLY one).
Heck, even now I see twinks getting blamed on the loss/GY camping, and I write the names down, armory them, and see nothing spectacular at all about the person being accused of being a twink.
By the same token, on my âleveling twinksâ which are being geared as they level (itâs slow and tedious but not against any rules), I have had people whisper me with âoh thank God, a twink healer!â or âyay! we have a twink healer!â
In fact, I have converted a few people in to âleveling twinksâ, exp on, but stopping BGâs/leveling periodically to gear/regear.
Blizzard gave us gems and enchants for a reason, and by gosh, I fully intend to use them.
Oh thatâs another thing. Separating the brackets has caused a cascade affect other areas too. Not only are people unsubbing, so the game is losing more players, but professions, (which were already hurting), are suffering even more.
Some of us depended on twink income buying our gems and enchants to make the gold we needed to buy game time tokens, which means even more lost playersâŚ
This was not a well thought out solution to the non-existent âtwink problemâ.
I mean, if there truly were THAT many twinks, then how come every bracket except for 1 or 2, are completely dead now?
queues are so long that i dont bother playing anymore. im not waiting 10-15 minutes for bgs, they are just not worth that kind of time
i like wow but there are other games out there too that dont waste literally half your time or more in queue
Eh, better late than never like some of these posters.
Itâs just easier to play the blame game, than take the time to research.
I prefer to try and see both sides of an issue.
Sometimes I forget that rule and get stubborn, but at the end, I always go back to the rule of there are two sides to every story.
I think you answered your question. They quit.
60 people over all different brackets and probably not on at the same timesâŚ
Itâs not like they were friends with every single twink. All Iâm saying is a lot of twinks quit after the queues were separated. That plays a part in why the brackets are dead. Itâs not just because there were only x number of twinks or whatever.
Because this has been done before so they know whatâs going to happen. I imagine if I had to schedule wargames just to do a few xp off BGs Iâd quit too.
I always find it fun to armory people posting in these threads who seem to think of themselves as some god tier player at pvp⌠low and behold those achieves reinforce what I think.
At least have impressive achieves yourself.
Most of people issues with twinking seem to be more of issues towards balancing low levels BGs, typically specific classes being more problematic.
I see a lot of now pretty familiar faces, but some new ones as well.
The twink difference comes from a variety of reasons.
-
How fast players level (especially with heirlooms) compared to the amount of gear they aquire through leveling. Itâs not like it was in vanilla - wotlk where you could spend a while in each level and youâd get more pieces from greens, crafting, or dungeons, that were of compatible quality
-
Gear and overall item quality and availability. Pre-60 and even into the 80s, gear has been scaled wacky at best. Compared to heirloom slots, most pieces have half if any secondaries at all. Even upgraded to epic quality these fail to compare to heirlooms. That paired with the availability of rings, necks, trinkets and helms in the early levels, there becomes an even more noticeable difference.
2b) Added in post: Heirloom scaling. While I love the XP boost, and Iâm gonna use heirlooms most of the time cuz Iâve invested quite a bit in them at this point, gear that pretty much outclasses most other stuff is a bit silly.
-
Enchant balancing is off too, as neat as scaling is for enchants, there were/are a couple outliars for enchants. While admittedly Iâd like to see more enchants also get some buffs/QoL changes to be viable, most people understand that Incin ammo, ele force, and crusader are problem enchants. And some stuff, like Rammsteinâs bolt, were ridiculous trinkets until recently. You canât blame people for using these (itâs like using the best, over tuned AZ traits at 120), itâs on blizzard to have 1-2 guys to keep an eye out for it and roll this stuff out.
-
Class balance, this is a bit trickier, but in some cases there are classes that have just too much damage, again especially at early levels. Problem classes at early levels should be looked at an accessed. I.E. dealing with healers could just be giving players kicks earlier (16-18 levels) for most class. Boomkins could do less DoT damage that scales higher and front load the damage on to your cast but slowly scale it down as you level. MM Hunter aimed shot could do less, but other spenders could do more to compensate. Again, it just takes 1-2 guys to look at asses and offer solutions. Dare I say even just talk with the community or play the game.
-
Blizzard not caring. They should. I still firmly believe that if they can care about battle pets and Garrisonâs, they can care about what at least at one point, and for new players still, is a large part of the game. And thatâs pretty much the issue. The issue isnât players wanting to stop at a certain level and gear up and do well. That mentality shouldnât be punished. Optimizing your character at any point of the game should not be punished. We pay blizz 15-20/mo per person. There is no reason they couldnât have 1-2 guys take care of this stuff.
Oh lol sorry dont agree with you there.
And that is why most dont play twinks anymore. No lowbies to dominate. The real twinks build community.
You can wait for an hour for a raid to form and thatâs even organised.
They can still twink just not with XP off. Nothings changed.
