Please make Tusks of mannoroth be a 1% drop

Good. I’m tired of everyone saying all rare pve items need to become common and nobody says that about removed pvp stuff. Why isn’t anyone complaining about all the removed armor sets and mounts?

Going off the logic in this thread, they have the achievement for getting it while current so it should effect no one if I get an armored twilight drake now.

I’d honestly prefer if they just brought PvE up to the level of PvP in terms of exclusive items.

Removed quests too

I would be fine with it being fair. Either let pve’ers have rare or exclusive rewards or nobody does.

I’m all for gladiator’s getting their own saddles and progression towards them for wins over 2400 so they can purchase previous season mounts with them.

But I’m not a gladiator and don’t really intend to be so I have no skin in the game.

Why do they get special snowflake treatment but every drop under 1% needs to be nerfed?

Btw, there are only like 6 or 7 things with a drop rate that low. 4 MoP wb mounts, Love Rocket and these shoulders. Gladiators have waaaaaaaaaaay more than that.

It’d just be aligning old glad seasonal mount acquisition with that of old non-glad seasonal mount acquisition. There would be a means to make the mounts obtainable with effort put in.

I’m just a fan of getting rid of FOMO tactics and making things obtainable in some form.

As for the drop rate of Tusks themselves, there’d be much less of an uproar if SoO was actually given a skip just like every single other raid that as a Mythic level of difficulty. It’s the fact it takes about an hour to get the chance for a .02% drop per lockout that gets people in a tizzy.

Then you’re ok with gladiator armor, mounts and other cosmetics being obtainable at all times. By anyone.

The average Joe might miss out.

I’m not saying everything needs to be made easier, but I am fully all-for cosmetics and such being obtainable indefinitely in some form, from PvE/PvP challenges to things that take no skill like the 2007 Brewfest Ram.

I think the 2007 ram and Longboi should come back too. There was no reason to take those out.

However the Love Rocket, 4 MoP WB mounts and Garrosh’s shoulders have been rare items since they were introduced. They were meant to be a carrot on a stick. There is nothing wrong with less than 10 items out of hundreds being rare.

And I actually don’t want gladiator stuff brought back but the way I see it if you’re going to invalidate the rarity of pve items because someone doesn’t feel like putting in the time then invalidate it all. I don’t feel like earning 2400 so let me do 100 matches and earn 100 tokens so I can buy the armored twilight drake from a vendor. That’s what people in this thread want, right?

I think you have me wrong…

I’m not saying everything needs to be made a roflstomp. I agree that challenge items should remain behind a difficulty equal or harder than original, but I believe those items should always be available in some manner.

If someone is arguing that glad mounts should be acquirable by non-glads - that’s not me and I’m not sure why you think that. I’ve made that pretty clear.

I’m not only addressing you, I’m addressing the general consensus of this thread.

“Make them 10% drop.”
“Bring back removed rewards.”
“FOMO is evil.”
“Let people buy them from a vendor with tokens.”

That is fundamentally changing the point of an extremely rare item. But yet, nobody screams “bring back MoP glad gear! I wasn’t playing at the time and missed out on getting those rewards. This is FOMO tactics!” These items are placed on some sacred, untouchable pedestal and I think that’s BS.

If you want X, you very clearly must want Y as well! There is only one school of thought you can follow at any given time!

Not everyone is so narrow minded.

Yeah but some sure are giant passive aggressive cowards.

I’ve brought this up in the past and was met with a wall of “That’s how PvP has always been!” :\

I don’t think anything on a weekly lockout should be < 1%. Full stop.

Yeah. Most threads are just “give me more easy/free stuff”. Or “bring back thing I neglected to get”.

Most collectors can’t PvP so they try really, really hard to pretend that whole area of the game just doesn’t exist.

Yeah pretty much. To some up my point: it’s ok for things to be rare. It’s ok to have exclusive rewards. PvPers get them all the time and nobody says squat.
