I just don’t understand why Blizzard is against letting us keep our rewards from this version of WoW. All of it took effort, time, and a grind, especially when compared to vanilla. Why not bring stuff like these new recolored mounts and Corrupted Ashbringer to retail, especially since it’s strictly cosmetic?
This Corrupted Ashbringer was even harder to get than retail, and the recolor mounts were from hardmodes. I’d be extremely inclined even to play MoP if those rewards would transfer over to retail as well.

They said from the start they don’t want players playing just for retail rewards.
Which seems quite silly, to me; why remove a compelling reason to play a version of the game?
Regardless, SoD is effectively dead, it would be nice to transfer those cool new items SOMEWHERE, even just as cosmetic unlocks for retail and/or MoP Classic. And have those items also unlock on Anniversary, should it even get transmog.

Because it takes away from ‘carrots’ to dangle in front of Retail players for Retail expansions/content.
Honestly, with SoD effectively being dead, it really does feel like it was all kind of a waste of time. Carrying those cosmetics over – as said, even just to MoP – would be awesome. You don’t even need the items themselves, just the cosmetics.
But also, don’t just “give them away” either. I think they really killed a lot of the BWL class weapons’ “cool factor” by how they implemented them into Retail. Items are cool in part because of the fanfare in how they’re acquired.

Blizzard should definitely do this, gives more people a reason to play SOD so the servers can have some new blood to keep the community & raiding going. I’m sure the people who are still playing SOD would appreciate it too.

I highly agree with OP. This benefits both SoD and MoP/retail players. MoP retail players would have more motivation to play SoD, and SoD players can go into MoP/retail having a feeling of their effort spent in SoD being carried forward.

The Scarlet Enclave gear alone is just too good to ignore. But SoD has tons of great cosmetics and toys.
It would be a travesty for them to die out with SoD.

Well, maybe they should undo that now that SoD is dead and done with. Would breath a little life back into it for a month or so with fresh blood.
I still stand by this post.
Let these cosmetics transfer to retail and breathe life back into both the SoD community and retail / classic. People would play both versions just to grind out the cosmetics and would be quite fun to show off the glory we achieved during this great version of WoW!
