You can campaign for hidden pants all you like, but you’ll know in your heart that they’re still there. You cannot escape the pants.

Agreed. Right now, players can do most content without pants but hiding them would be even better.

Kids play lots of games much worse than WoW. What are you afraid of? Them seeing a cartoon human in their underwear? Oh noes! Protect the innocent! Shield their virgin eyes!

WoW chat will be worse than any invisible gear. Hell, if our characters could be FULLY naked… they’d still see and learn worse things from chats.

For plate, there’s lofty leggings and maybe jade or warlord or some other things. Lofty most skimpy I think.
For mail, I think it was saltstone? leggings. And blood spattered or something and maybe warlord was mail.
For leather, there’s ceremonial leather leggings, I think tribal or something, and maybe thunderlord leggings from wod.
For cloth I think it’s just black mageweave leggings for skimpiness.
All those are basically panties on women with garters that may or may not include a stocking or partial leg plate. Pretty sure one of the leather or mail ones comes out like a loin cloth or shorts on men too. Actually a cloth one called nice shorts that would look like shorts on men.
If Blizzard ever does get into hiding pants, variety of underwear would be a logical followup. I saw other threads asking for swimsuits and spring break or summer vacation type micro-holidays while real beaches are shutdown. And I know there’s a day in real life where people go around outside in their underwear for some charity or social justice reason I forget.
Between gnomish x-ray specs and blood elf thongs, it seems to me Blizzard’s ‘let’s keep it classy’ is half-hearted. They probably worry about some kid’s mom looking over his shoulder and seeing a full raid or city of blood elves in thongs erp’ing like it’s 1999.

You can basically get there with most armour types already.
There would be a couple of players who would likely want to play full in undies.
I don’t feel it’s necessary to cater to these players… we know the existing options were put in to allow for a mix of mogs but not having pants doesn’t open up any new mogging opportunities as we don’t have customisable underwear etc.
I would also be fine with some regular pants, all of the mail ones have something weird like lizard scales or a different color on just the crotch or floating hip shields lol. The mail pants are always the downfall of a good mog for me, so I’d like the option just to hide them.
