Hereâs the thing, people donât like playing pretend in a video game. People want an agreed upon set of rules that are obvious to all and make sense. Itâs why parsing and speed-runs are popular - everyone understands how those work.
Of course, those types of gameplay donât appeal to everyone. Itâs very hard from a bottom-up perspective to create competition around hamstringing yourself, itâs like âcompetitive power walkingâ it just doesnât really work. Itâs really up to Blizzard to offer players the tools to challenge themselves (ilvl sync for instance). I mean this stuff isnât impossible itâs how challenge mode worked in MoP/WoD.

House rules are fine for board games. Less so for online video games. Especially weird house rules to try to make something of the game it clearly isnât.
Blizzard is the dungeon master, asking players to intentionally make gimped builds because the Kobold King is too easy ainât it.

I do like that there is a geriatric dad option for those that need it. However, a heroic version would be nice as well.
If people needed logs and gs for it, itâs fine. Blame those people.

That was the beauty of raiding in p1, that i hope to continue till the end of SOD: If you want, just join a guild and have a smoother raid experience, or if you prefer, like me, just pug it at anytime and deal with all kind of players.
I really like the randomness and unexpected social situations, while playing an MMO.
I pugged every raid with my 2 chars and got everything, from multiple clears, some probably under 30m, to joining a semi guild/pug, where guildies were basically all drunk, to the point where they started getting lost inside BFD.
Got some ocasional wipes, but it definitely worth it.
Iâm sure if i had just raided with the same guild players, every 3 days, it would have turned super boring.

Iâd love to hear your reasoning for not wanting to see someone advocate for a change in which is essentially Classic +. Do you have a valid thought out reason, or are you just being reactionary like the majority of this boards users?
