Please make Final Verdict and Blade of Justice usable with 1 handers

From another post i made in general discussion. Ret really just needs those two enabled and you can have a new style of playing. Personally I prefer we just make it a tmog thing and have it be aesthetic but it literally could just be as simple as enabling the option.

It hurts noone to allow people to explore this option.

They should also change Shield of the Righteous to not require a shield.

They already made Shine so it’s right there.

With csaa available… pass. (one handers swings faster then 2-handers…)

If anything I would rather push 2-hander + sheild talent.

I did some quick testing on the beta, and after ~15 minutes I am pretty certain that 1h+shield would be vastly superior to 2h. Your abilities only lose about 5% damage from equipping a 1h+shield, but you get about 50% more Art of War procs, and for some reason CSAA does ~33% more DPS with 1h over 2h.

Hard to say how much better 1h+shield would be, but I would not be surprised if it was in the ballpark of 25%.

Csaa is baised on a AP calculator, weapon damage does not contribute to the calculation, just it’s weapon speed. That is why you see higher numbers.

This would mean the faster the weapon, the more CSAA strikes you get (which is 100% baised on your AP) Thus the more damage it deals.

The ap modifier according to WoWhead for midnight is 187.785% of your total AP. I don’t think it’s accurate to be honest.

i mean im a tank, not even in full mythic gear

and i out dps 60% of dps pugs in raids.

why not just idk. play prot paladin and press your buttons good instead of trying to make ret into a sword and board spec?
