Please Make Enhancement Shamans Look, Play, and Feel like Thor

Please, give us a talent path that turns enhancement shamans into Thor.

Make a lightning version of sundering. (I dont care if its an ability, or glyph)
Let us shoot lightning out of our weapons, instead of making us sheath. (it looks and feels stupid currently.)
Improve lightning visuals in general.

Enhancement shamans, hands down, have THE BEST spec fantacy. If yall just took out the time and gave a creative mind to have his / her way with it, you could make this happen in no time.

(edit- AND PLEASE MAKE IT BE VIABLE BY TUNING STANDARDS)

No. Wrong franchise.
Make 'em more like Thrall if you must change anything.
We could have that giant bead necklace thing.

Well someone enjoyed Love and Thunder

You mean Thrall’s balls?

Lightning Bolt definitely needs a visual upgrade though… it’s pretty bland right now. Should be a bigger effect like Crashed Lightning

I like the idea of throwing your hammers or axes and having it come back to you.

Blizzard hate Enha Shaman, we the NAture damage in Storm strike again

I think a lot of spells need visual updates tbh. I wouldn’t mind seeing glyphs for frostbolt and fireball that turn them into FFB.

I mean something I can’t call it on the forums.

I’ll be honest, I really don’t know WHAT the “fantasy” is for the Shaman class. I mean, we have a broad idea of what Shamans are in Warcraft, but as for individual specs, they honestly feel kind of meaningless.

I mean, what even IS “Enhancement”? What is that word even supposed to mean? Why was it originally a 2hand spec, but became DW’ing? What “fantasy” is that supposed to be based off of?

Did you switch to a Frost Death knight so you could choose between dual wielding and 2handers?

JUSTICE FOR ENHANCEMENT, BLIZZARD!

Maybe I’m going too broad strokes here, but I feel like a lot of specs are due for rebranding. We’ve already seen Blizzard do it with Combat → Outlaw Rogues. My main gripe is for Restoration and Holy being shared across 2 classes, each: Druid and Shaman, and Paladin and Priest, respectively.

Let’s take the Shaman for starters since we’re here: Enhancement, Elemental, Restoration. I get that Enhancement focuses on channeling power into themselves to improve combat prowess rather than thrusting the elements directly. Elemental have control over varying elements and apply them directly. Restoration… restores stuff.

But you’re right - I don’t feel the weight behind these names.

Maybe leaning into a specific element does us some favors? Stormcaller, Earthmender, Firecaster? Storm, earth and fire, heed my call, and all that. Firecaster is quite generic feeling, I’ll admit.

If we want to keep broad elemental capability on all specializations… Should one be a Farseer, like Warcraft 3 / Thrall? Admittedly, I’ve got nothing. Probably part of why we’ve kept the names so far. Maybe a concerted design effort from Blizzard can push something.

But maybe a name isn’t as important as the fantasy, as you say. WHY does enhancement dual wield? Just because not many other specializations do? Why don’t I have the option like (Frost) Death Knights? Is that really the focus of the class, rather than its combination of elemental and physical combat?

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind seeing Shamans get a fourth spec based around Tanking.

At that point, while you could certainly have SOME elemental abilities across each spec, I would give each spec a PRIMARY element to focus in.

Earthwarden (Tank), Stormcaller (Ranged), Flamebringer (Melee), Wavemender (Healer)

Those would be my pick, anyway.

Woah there buddy, you want Classic class fantasy to return and let us have FUN? You want something people have been crying for, for 18 years?

No, no, no. Like with Demonology Warlocks getting gutted and spun into Demon Hunters, Blizzard is going to repackage that into a new class that they’ll sell a new expansion on.

What - no, I’m not crying over Rockbiter Weapon and Earth Shock threat generation, and Enhancement Shaman using shields to offtank, and a short lived Shaman tank meta for fast clears of timed dead Stratholme for Dungeon Tier 0.5 sets, while fondly staring at a Classic WoW talent calculator… Uh, I just got Riptided so my face is all wet. That’s it.

Idk about making them feel like thor. But It would be nice to get more cosmetic glyphs for spell effects such as even for talents.

Shamans already have some of the best animations in the game. Paladins need help they sound like they are hitting pots and pans together.

We get sulky and disappear and be mostly useless?

I mean. We already mostly did that.

Also, anyone that suggests 2h windfury returns I automatically ignore as being not worth listening to.

I lold! better than Baine though. At least Thrall went away. Baine sit down in the floor like a toddler, in front of everyone to see.

You’re right. And when you’re right, you’re right. And you, you’re always right.

2h Windufury really needs to make a comeback. Especially now that we have Doomwinds to make it reliable. Classic Windfury is the good stuff, but it can be better.

Anyway, thank you for reminding me. I think we should start campaigning.

You are more than welcome to campaign for one of the worst ever mmorpg design decisions and make yourself sound completely useless and ignored by anyone worth taking seriously.

I can’t believe that’s actually in the game.

This would never fly today. It kind of makes me sad, I liked elements of the juvenile humor in WoW. I don’t know why we have to lose this fun stuff just because a bunch of greasy, disgusting, neckbearded WoW devs preyed on women.

 Ask me how I knew you were an Ele shaman before I clicked your profile.

Why do you hate the best of your own kind?
