She was in Lordaeron, seeing all her loved ones get murdered. But she managed to escape. How dare she?
What? They weren’t in northrend. The forsaken were the undead in and around tirisfal and the plaguelands, far from the lich king. That’s why they were able to break free when his power waned.
I assume you mean the scarlet crusade. They aren’t part of the alliance. Not all humans are in the alliance. Nor is Calia for that matter. So I’m not sure how exactly she would “defend” them. Do tell though.
You mean the DK opening scenario? She wasn’t there. And again, what exactly would you expect her to have done? It’s not like Sylvanas or even the forsaken fought Arthas back. It was the people at light’s hope chapel, and then the death knights of acherus themselves.
You think she should have gone to leaders of a group she isn’t a part of to ask them to hand over the corpses of their deceased to be raised in undeath in the service of their enemy? That sounds reasonable to you?
Yeah it’s not like she saw her prince murder her king, or saw her loved ones torn apart by undead monsters only to become the monsters themselves, or got killed by an undead tyrant and later raised from the dead herself. Oh wait, she went through exactly that!
Things change. The Forsaken haven’t been Forsaken since they joined the Horde and they certainly aren’t Forsaken now that they have many Humans beckoning them to come back.
What else do you think all of this is happening now? Blizzard has been mending the bridge between Forsaken and Humans to pave the way for the playerbase merge.
Hell I hope they rename the faction completely. Just “Undead” is fine. Maybe “Lordaeron” even.
Calia seems to have a vested interest in the citizens of lorderon, and the people of lorderon at the gathering seemed happy to see her.
The emo-style “You don’t understand me, or my pain” thing is something a hormonal teenager does to push people away. Most people grow out of this phase before hitting 18.
She didn’t. All she did was die. The only trait she shares with the Forsaken is undeath, and even that part is still different, as her soul is still intact.
She was. her family was murdered and she had to flee for her life. Then her family was most likely killed again by the Forsaken themselves when they destroyed Southshore. Then she was killed by Sylvanas.
I’m not going to go “Review” anything, because void magic and death magic are not the same.
If it was light and void mixing, that’d be a contradiction, like void elf holy priests.
Undead are unaffected by the void, supposedly, therefore they are not complimentary. Light and Death can still mix together, and have before in the past, and still continue to do so today.
I much rather see a reformed Desolate Council made up of Lillian, Dalaryn and one other notable Forsaken member from Lordaron (Not Deric please.) It just sounds better in my opinion then Calia being the racial leader. If they still want her to go team Lordaron/Forsaken then that’s nice, but just don’t have her be the figure head or leader.
While I think she is more appropriate as an Alliance leader of the inevitable LF Undead alliance AR, there’s a big part of me that wants to see her leading the Forsaken, SIMPLY for the forum nerd rage.
The tears that would happen because of that would solve most drought problems for the western US OVERNIGHT.
I’d not be against a council being set up, as long as reform can be made. Lilian was the one that asked Calia to return. Not the other way around.
Could easily be a council that includes Calia, she doesn’t need to be the end all be all figure head, but I think completely leaving her out is not an option either.
The Forsaken seriously need to get out of this scourge “Death to the living” mentality, or get removed from the horde.
Hmmm, I somewhat agree with her being on the council if there was one. But I much prefer if she took a secondary/advisory role. She feels way to “Out of the blue” for me still considering she’s be up and gone for 10+ years for unknown reasons.
She wouldn’t be the first character to just reappear after disappearing a while. She probably wouldn’t be the last either. As stories expand new characters get introduced.
She does seem to genuinely care more about the forsaken than Sylvanas ever did. I’m not sure about the horde as a whole, but that’s kinda why Lilian voss, and the others are there too right? I doubt she’d ever take leadership, and then all the other forsaken characters just vanish.
