I agree that this is a better solution for game play and is one I prefer and am hoping for. Blizzard’s problem is that players have paid to be on a part of a super-majority faction and will object to being placed on a fair server.
Unfortunately, game play is set up to give advantages to a super majority faction. I think game changes are needed to make game play more difficult for a super majority faction. This would violate the “No Change” policy and players would object.
At this point, the only way out that I can see is give up on the concept of World PVP. Either have all PVE servers or have single faction servers (essentially the same thing). World PVP on a super-majority server is a joke. The minority faction does not want to risk being grieved by attacking a majority players and has little chance of holding bonus areas such as Halaa.
honestly im annoyed enough that i think my answer to their ‘we tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas’ post is okay, if the data bears out that the majority of pvpers actually don’t want to pvp and just roll there to feel like a big boy, and prefer to have a massive advantage, do that.
if its what your customers want, let’s go. you’re the ones insisting thats ‘how it is’ so instead of holding my account ransom to do your job for you, get moving.
benediction is now ally only. whitemane is now horde only. consolidate and flag the remainder accordingly, offer the minority factions free transfers off to corresponding designated safe servers. pvp world objectives flip automatically at predetermined intervals.
because as it is, i play until i can’t fill a raid any more, and then i close my account, and keep it closed, until i see a sweeping change in server/faction management across all eras.
companies solve ‘customer created’ problems all the time. it’s why sneeze guards and seat belts exist.
At some point, they have to bite the bullet at say “Enough is enough”. They’ve been doing that for other things lately, so there’s hope.
I feel like the guy waiting for the outhouse in Honor Hold. The Game Developers should read his comments. No action is worse than action at this point.
You are right about making a new character, but it will not be in the Blizzard environment.

I am on Benediction Alliance and I really feel bad anytime I see a horde player in there.
To everyone who says “You should reroll”, seriously this is dumb just stop. As one of the dude explained above, he has ZG mount, is playing its toon prolly since the beginning of classic and I don’t see any reason on why he should not be playing his toon.
We need a server merge Benediction/Faerlina or just let the people on a server with 5% population and less to be able to free transfer.
It’s like you buy a phone, you find out its broken and the dude at the store is asking you to pay a 40$ so you can get a phone that is working. Absolute non sense.

It’s a community that actively play a game knowing that over half the devs within were sexual predators, it’s hardly surprising. I started a topic a couple weeks back asking why people were ok enough with blizz’s practices to keep giving them money and my account got suspended but not before being yelled at by 30+ people defending blizz. Most online communities are awful but blizzard in general seems to have this loyal player base that’s just willing to shill and defend them no matter how bad the game/developer is. I have 2 days of game time left, only came back long enough to give my remaining gold to guildies who were transferring off of Bene. Fck this company and fck the people that defend it.

The opposite is true. Overpopulated factions should be allowed to send their overpopulation to a server where that faction is under-represented. That would actually cause balance.
The solution above is simply “Factional Servers and forget world PVP”.
I kill every horde I see on Benediction.

The Bene alliance have caused this no doubt. Most of them transfers, probably victims of the Horde doing the same to them.
