that would be a neat idea. also unless they have been removed I think WoD has rep tokens you can buy IIRC.
For those who doesn’t see how it’s unfair:
[FAIR] Same amount of works and completions.
Current player: (Time gated thus took forever)
-Tons of Storyline quests
-Did tons of WQs,
-Grind Tons of reps
Player playing old contents for flying (Time gated removed)
–Tons of Storyline quests
-Did tons of WQs,
-Grind Tons of reps
[UNFAIR] Not the same amount of work and completions,
Current player: (Time gated thus took forever)
-Tons of Storyline quests
-Did tons of WQs,
-Grind Tons of reps
Player playing old contents for flying (Time gated Kept)
–Tons of Storyline quests
Just because it’s old contents, such as Fireland, players still should do the same amount of work to get an “Achievement” that was set in place in the very beginning. Sure they can one shot bosses and that’s the same as a kill, which old players also did a kill of that boss.
What’s the difference if Blizz just allow new players to get easy flying, as to just letting everyone get all the “free” achievements that otherwise would require some techniques and even group effort to down the old boss? I mean, people wants it the easy way then just give me all the achievements in the raid after I kill the final boss…analogical to making flying easy in old contents.
Did you miss the fact that, starting in SL, people can choose to level in ANY expansion if on alts or through BFA if new?
Yet, to you, it feels fair that those that choose to. or due to being new, level in those expansion are ground bound at levels that others who choose differently are able to fly around?
I’d rather they kept the reps for the achivement/mount, not the flying. This would still give people a reason to go back into old content in patch lulls.
Really, get over the idea that new players being able to do things that those that played when the content was current is “not fair”, you sound like those old people that are like “in my day, we walked 10 miles to school in driving snow”. New groups almost always have an advantage over the old, the next generation will have the developments and discoveries of this generation. It is no different in WoW, more so since the devs seems to want to get people into the current exp as fast as possible.
For those who have a twisted sense of fairness:
Current player:
Did all the busy work and are able to move on to the new expansion on day 1 of release
New Player/alt of one who did not complete pathfinder:
Can’t fly till the new expansion if they are new or choose wrong if they are an alt
Ones like you think it is fair that new players go through everything that we did when more then just the removal of reps is changing. I’d be more open to the idea of the removal of the time gate if the leveling was not also changing and, as as such, flight did not need changed to accommodate the new leveling set up.
Thanks grumbles. Your cookies are one of the things that make this DK happy. That and killing, so cookies are much better.
I still have 1 in firelands I cant do solo lol. that one where you gotta do /kneel all the wayto the damn orb… wish I could solo that one but alas I cant. would have to do that avhieve the way it was done when it was current ![]()
It’s not timegated anymore lmao.
People that got Pathfinder have the mount and people that didn’t want to do it or didn’t do it can now fly it’s a win-win.
Your the type of person that is the kind to say “i got mine screw you” attitude.
I swear to god Blizz needs to put in a Gnome cookie maker NPC named Grumbles or something. Have him live in a tree lol…
Life isn’t fair! You done what was required at the time for flight, and Blizzard has decided to change the acquisition of flight, in those expansions, to something else. Get over it!
