IO is not a testament for knowing mechanics. I've been in high IO groups where people still don't know mechanics.
10/31/2018 07:25 AMPosted by KurtloderWe need to make it easier to filter out all the fire standing, non interrupting bad dps. This will help also get rid of all the leeches who expect carries. This should be part of Blizzards standard UI.
Ilvl isn’t enough, io actually shows player skill level and it absolutely should be implemented within the base UI.
All that stuff is trash, it helps destroy the communication in WoW that this game once had. The effect of apps like this are the reason why people don’t branch out and meet new people. No one even talks in general or trade anymore unless they are spamming carries. How bout you group with whoever and get through the content. You can enjoy the game and not be elitist at the same time.

The reason I play an MMO is to stroke epeen. I enjoy beating people at video games. The game is pathetic without the competitive aspect. Story? Pft. Garbage. Quests? utter. Garbage. RP? This isn't my D&D session where I can actually affect the world around me and know it was a unique experience with my own personal choices.
I'm the exact opposite of you but I appreciate the straightforward honesty.

When the dust settles on this crap expansion, this type of player will be all thats left and they will wonder where everyone went. Well this guy and the carry sellers. They will wonder why their guild is dead and why no one is in the major cities. The game is dead and needs a major overhaul.
100% not interested, especially when there's a timer involved. I enjoy doing things well and participating in things being done well. Wiping and all the other garbage that comes with just "getting through the content" when paired with avg wow players is a thing of the past for me.10/31/2018 09:54 AMPosted by LoveliveslayHow bout you group with whoever and get through the content. if someone wants to git gud, they can practice and do research on their own time. Plenty of resources, etc.
Only reason to be social now is because you WANT to be social, not because you HAVE to to get stuff. I group with friends plenty. I chat plenty. I just don't feel obligated to do it more than I otherwise would now. It's excellent.
I genuinely appreciate different players of various skill levels and aspirations as well. The only thing I don't like is when people try to FORCE others to accept them when they (the ones trying to force acceptance) are the ones who need the people they're forcing and not the other way around.10/31/2018 09:57 AMPosted by KerguelenI'm the exact opposite of you but I appreciate the straightforward honesty.
If (as you stated), 99.99% are trash that blizzard caters to and 0.01% are elite as yourself... why do you even consider them accommodating you?

...do you even know how M+ works???
How are they catering? They are doing nothing. It's people like me catering to people like me and people like the 99.99% who want in but can't because they are incapable of being in that .01% for <whatever reason>.10/31/2018 10:00 AMPosted by GarindasIf (as you stated), 99.99% are trash that blizzard caters to and 0.01% are elite as yourself... why do you even consider them accommodating you?
If the plebs were capable of doing the content, they'd push their own key to success and no one would be the wiser. They can't because it's hard and they just want a short cut at the expense of other people's goals and aspirations. Again, both sides are selfish, it's just one side is justifiably selfish because THEY ACTUALLY OWN THE THING (the key in this case).
Are you related to Wravion? He's doing the same level of whining in a different post about this garbage.10/31/2018 07:25 AMPosted by KurtloderWe need to make it easier to filter out all the fire standing, non interrupting bad dps. Post was for OP... if you read his/her other posts instead of running off trying to get your own voice heard you might've put two and two together.
AFAIK I was the first and only person to bring up the "99.99% of ppl are trash" so I assumed it was me since you used the exact same hyperbolic statement. How was that for me? Where did I say 99.99% are trash? You specifically said “as you stated.” So please do me a favor and show me where I said that?
Stop putting words in my mouth.
We also need to remove loot from LFR and warfronts.

I wouldn’t trust someone with poor credit with my money, just like I wouldn’t trust someone with a low raider.io score in my groups.
See here's the thing, there's more than not being able to stand in bad that makes someone a good raider.. Your missing two of them, which is a good attitude and the willingness to help others improve.
I'm sorry that you feel like your to good for people learning and have room for improvement.. Well I'm not really, because your not to good for them because at least they typically aren't dickheads
You don't need a good attitude or a willingness to help other achieve to do good in raids. All you need is 20 people that aren't terrible at the game.

I wish I had friends that played WoW. . .I once had friends that played WoW, then BfA came out.

BFA killer of groups.
10/31/2018 07:40 AMPosted by NuisenseWhat I want is a skill ranking of some kind. How many interrupts per run, how many seconds in bad, how many explosives busted, how many soothes applied, etc. Sure a Raider.IO score tells you they have run so many of what level dungeons with what affixes, but it doesn't really tell you what they did. I want more information, not less.
I want to know what they had for breakfast. How much sleep they had the night before. Their last bowel movement. How many friends they had in 2nd grade. Their height and shoe size. If they prefer candy mints or breath mints. And... and... their lung capacity
Oh. And this all needs to be backed up with at least 12 references.

Damn, This Rogue is so on their game they're oneshotting people in the forums.

This thread is a disappointing drop in this whole disappointing sea. Raider.io has just given the community (if you will forgive that word being used unironically) a means to resume cutting itself. The tiny tyranny of elitism rages against the bill paying tyranny of the casual.
Everyone starts somewhere, but raider.io ensures that they will not be starting in your backyard. In fact, you may not care where they start, but you will have no hand in it, take no part in people learning how to raid, learning fights, learning anything.
But you would very much like to reap the benefits of people learning all those things. You would enjoy having an experienced raiding community while doing nothing at all to help build one.
Perhaps you do not see taking up an oar and helping the community as a whole by passing on your experience to those who are lacking it as your job. But if you don’t, who will? In truth, if you don’t, someone else is going to have to pull your share of that educational burden eventually.
Is there a term for wanting goodies but not wanting to do the work for those goodies?
Why, I do think there is.
