I kind of think this is the key.
I mean, I don’t “know” anyone in game, not really. But the people are more interesting than the bots. Whether they’re just chatting, slamming frost bolts into a mob off on the horizon, stealing a node out from underneath me, etc.
They’re a dynamic to the game.
It’s one of the reasons, of all things, I want to stay in the World as much as I can this expansion. Not in dungeons, not in the silent group tunneling through an endless chain of zerged mobs and bosses. Not even the solo dungeons. They’re not in the world. They’re a trap.
I’d rather be doing world content, running around, ganging up on mobs, or not.
Toss out the lists of things to do, toss out the guides, just Play The Game, just follow it where it takes you. I’m not on a gear grind this season, I’m just running about.
That said, I did run a Timewalking raid today, that was fun. It was like a big LFR run. LFR is typically not bad too, there’s a lot of people and chit chat and yammering going on. Just ignore the whiners and complainers.
