Please give us solo players the ability to do dungeon content

If your trying to convince people that they should add this solo content that you want, you actually do have to justify yourself. You can’t not like a thing, complain about it and then not justify your reasoning. I mean I guess you can but no one is going to take your issue seriously. They’ll dismiss it as “another person complaining about xyz.”

Would love this Blizzard. Running dungeons with alts or AI would be a huge step forward for WoW.

Read the rest of what I said.

Guild Wars had that because it has a fraction of the player base. Running dungeons with NPCs becomes a necessity when you don’t have enough players.

Quick look at an mmo population tracker Guild Wars 2 has an estimated daily player count of 500,000. Compare that to WoW’s estimated 2.37 Million. Nearly 5 times as many players means they don’t need NPCs to run dungeons and raids.

It’s a problem because it requires development and testing resources. In 15+ years and Blizzard has still never figured out basic pet AI. Yet we are supposed to expect them to code AI dungeon companions that know how to heal and tank? They can’t even figure out how to have my pet follow me off a ledge.

Do you know what a PITA getting into the random queue these days is? There comes a point during an expac in which getting into a dungeon isn’t going to happen.

And yes, Blizzard has done something similar back during WOD. Remember the trials (I think that was Pandaria)? It literally put you into a group full of NPC’s.

Yeah… I did…

Saying guild wars has it, why can’t WoW have it…is rather silly.

Guild Wars is not a bad game, but it’s barely an mmo.

You mean proving grounds? The test you had to pass to show you were moderately competent, before you could queue to play with actual people?

The thing bad players complained about and successfully had removed?

I have no problem getting into dungeon queues. I started DF a little late after taking a break during SL, but normal and heroic dungeons queues have been fine. My hunter is still a couple ilvls shy of running LFR yet but based on dungeon queues times it can’t be bad. Enter queue and go quest, gather, etc until it pops.

Also, the friendly dungeon AI in WOD is in no way comparable.

I liked that a lot.

You just aren’t good. Play a different class, or preferably a different game. It’s okay to be bad.

i honestly believe the best multi play should be done with friends and i can’t disagree with OP here, multiplay with strangers is just atrocious in WoW.

that is why i usually just wait until the next expansion comes so when i can lvl up max and just solo last expansion dungeons.

if i want to do multiplay i just try to find and make friends along the way and i don’t do it through PUGs, people there aren’t interested in friendship.

i just join a guild and try to chat with people and if the guild is too silent i just leave and wait until i get another invite to another random guild.
(people are always throwing invites to players with no guilds, specially new players)

on rare ocasions i try to makes friends here at the forums even though the forum is also full of toxicity than pugs, but at least here people are willing to do some chat with ya PUGs on the other hand don’t chat AT ALL, they just want to clear the dungeon as if it was a job or something.

i support the idea of AIs for soloplayers, PUGs play is just too toxic most of the time and i have done all types of game plays DPS, Tank and Healing the experience with strangers is just too bad on PUGs.

but it work quite well on world quest in Looking for Groups, btw that is another way to makes friends there i remember spending some time with two guys that where making group to take on the WoW anniversary world boss.

had plenty of fun chatting with them, but because i was not at the same realm as them i couldn’t join their guild.

Public ESO dungeons are really cool.

Not so. As difficult as endgame in WoW is right out of the gate, this idea would only encourage players to play worse than they already do.

If you make the dungeons super easy, which imo they already are, your just kicking the can down the road for this argument. You say just for LFD and not mythic but then those ppl will eventually want to try mythic, which is great, but now they’re not at the player experience level that they should be because they had NPC’s carry them through the dungeon. So now they’re wasting the raids time or depleting ppls keys because they don’t want to spend the effort getting better at the game.

That is an issue I have been noticing with pve content is how low the bar is to get into things. Not saying you have to be super sweaty but my god go into an LFR or do a normal raid and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Maybe like 3 ppl know the fights and the vast majority just run around doing whatever expecting to get carried. There are so many guides and YouTube videos for anyone to not know what they’re doing or get better to be an excuse.

lvl 10s barely take damage though because of scaling they can usually just solo the dungeon lol.

Lol :joy: me too

I don’t see how you guys find all these toxic players. I only see them on mythics MAYBE and only if we wipe. I have a feeling that you probably get kicked because you flame them back when they flame you.

I’m a solo player, and I oppose this post’s statement.
Dungeons are group content. This is an MMO. It’s in the name: Massively Multiplayer Online…

They had an expansion that was single-player: Warlords…. It’s nigh universally hated.

Please stop this entitlement.

You came here to the forums. You clearly felt the need to justify yourself
