Please give us loot

People were told that “loot will be loot” and believed they heard whatever they wanted to hear. That’s how it was intentionally communicated, to mislead people into thinking that it would be easier to gear up than before.

Sure you do. We all can claim whatever we want on the forums and I am sure no one ever lies about anything…

Dude just admit, you are here white knighting something a larger more majority of the people do not like. It’s cool you like it, some people like their sensitive bits slapped around and hooked to a car battery, that doesn’t mean it is for everyone.

That’s not what people want.

Time input should be rewarded accordingly. You shouldn’t have to run 4-5 M+ runs to get loot at the end or wait for the vault. Heroic dungeons drops were scarce too, that made trying to gear up early in the expac near impossible.

The more vocal are not always the majority. There is the possibility that the people who are fine with the loot simply do not spend their time posting on the forums.

The casuals are always the majority in games like this. Guarantee you that.

at no point did I complain about it. I acknowledged that the general feeling is that loot is less abundant. irrespective of content consumed, gear drops have been nerfed at all levels of play.

If you were hoping to shame me into retracting my point because i’ve run a single mythic dungeon, you are sadly mistaken. I felt the squeeze leveling to where I am, and decided that the time sink wasn’t worth the effort.

I am not a gear chaser. I am content with leveling up my covenant set and enjoying other aspects of the game. That doesn’t mean i don’t recognize gearing concerns.

Note I did not mention what types of players. I said nothing about casuals or hard core players. Im talking about in general and in life, the most vocal are not always the majority.

Lol I realm swapped to emerald dream to join a group of friends that also regulars on these forums

They can easily vouch for me because they too know my situation

And not always the minority either. Dismissing that possibility is just as bad as assuming they aren’t

Sure…“Friends” whatever you say Marie-Antoinette

Im not trying to shame you. My point was that you cant know what gearing is like first hand if you havny gone out and tried it yourself. Your basing you whole philosophy on what you hear from others. You have very strong opinions on something you just have no first hand experience in.

this is whats called an appeal to authority.

First you are correct in that I dont know what mythic raiding drop rates are specifically having not run them myself.

This doesn’t however mean im not in a guild or have friends who relay their experiences, or that i don’t see how their drops have fared. This constitutes experience on a topic, and honestly its pretty close to actually experiencing it.

Secondly, if loot from world quest through every level of grouped content is gimped, and ive done even heroic level group content and some light normal raiding, i have in fact taken part in the loot system. I would consider that to be first hand experience. maybe you disagree?

Experience is relative to who is perceiving it. If your guild members perceive it as an issue and you take it at face value, then your opinions are skewed. So no I don’t count 2nd hand accounts as experience. You ran CN one time, yes sure that can count, but again it is not a good measure of the loot system with minimal exposure to the loot system.

Why is raining loot a problem? No actual player who isn’t brainwashed by streamers cares that loot was plentiful.

Newsflash: It’s not the past. They can’t just severely nerf loot to levels not seen in over a decade and expect people to be happy about it.

Not a single player in my immediate social circle is fine with this.

your right it is skewed in favor of what my shared experiences are. It is skewed the same way your positive experience shades your opinion on the matter. So either is acceptable, or neither is.

You’re 210 nice. You been only doing one piece of content?

I haven’t really started raiding or very little m+. I am waiting till 9.1 to see if it’s worth my time.

If 9.1 is like prior expansion. It would not be worth my time.

If it’s like vanilla/classic where prior content is worth doing. Then yes it is and I will start doing more.

Only 9.1 will tell me which route to take.

Sents loot drop is low I would assume it’s similar to classic in that aspect.

Well getting no loot in this expansion plays a big part of that. The game just seems really unsatisfactory when you dont get rewarded for hours and hours of hard work.

Then on top of that, creating multiple alts is also painful because you have to run them through torghast along with your main, over and over again…ya no thanks.

As soon as I grind out what I’m trying to get, ill probably play much less or not at all until the new content patch.

The issue is that you fail to understand how forums work.

People who like to post on forums do it because they enjoy discussing things with strangers on the internet.

People who don’t visit forums don’t like to discuss things online.

That’s all it is. In all likelihood people who don’t visit forums ever have some of the same opinions of people who do.

The idea that “everybody who isn’t reading and posting on the forum is happy with everything about the game” is clearly false, given that most people don’t ever visit the forums.

Even more so ,why is it so hard for Blizz to understand.

Seems like no matter what they do it is always one extreme or another. They are just like Goldielocks but refusing to go to the just right item (middle ground)
