I mean, there are other glyphs that ONLY affect the player (like Soul Shards for Locks)…
It’s time Blizz.
Shadowform has no purpose or identity anymore. If it’s gotta stay for reasons, fine… but let us opt out of the visuals.
You’ve added a Trading Post for god sakes - why should I engage with that system when I can’t see anything I put on?
Just play a spec that is different in both role, playstyle, and purpose. Great idea 4head.
I’m gonna agree with OP one hundred percent, if only to fulfill my own desires of the holy caster-that’s-not-paladin. Paladin uses their weapons and a few spells, let priest really lean into the fire/holy aesthetic of Holy fire and Purge the Wicked.
I love my shadowform, keep it just the way it is
Shadow form exists to make my mounts slightly transparent and shadowy-ish.
How can we make it obvious for blizzard to see you comment? They need to see and know that, otherwise, they just don’t care about their customers health. If so, the entire world should know that
I dislike current shadowform, but I think the world has more important issues at hand than this.
Shadowform is neat.
Imagine your DPS caster form turning you into a giant chicken…
In a recent interview a question was asked about glyphs and Morgan Day said that there is a concern with changing too much and making spells too unrecognizable. He also specifically mentioned PVP.
I wonder if Shadowform is grouped into this because shadow spells being cast from a non-shadowy being would be too much of a difference in PVP?
If that is an issue couldn’t certain glyphs just be disabled in PVP? A glyph to remove Shadowform has been asked about for years and if PVP is the reason for its continued nonexistence I would rather have it everywhere besides PVP then not at all.
I’m sure they’s use that as a reason. Only, you have no idea what spec either Assassin or Subtlety is at a glance, because they’re either invisible anyway, and/or they use the same weapon sets. You only know once you’re under attack.
So that argument falls to pieces.
If i could play shadow without shadowform, i might actually go back to maining a priest.
I just cant play as a purple blob of smoke.
At the very least the glyph that reduces the visual effect could start doing its job and actually make a difference.
