Hmm- well there’s options there too. For example, make the bottom opaque sure, but add in transparency options. I can easily see someone intentionally designing a floating "pool” with a transparent bottom.
It’s really a non issue anyway I found out, if you have some crazy tall crap in your yard, you can only see it if you are pretty close.

Not true, I can see houses from far away with my PC everything is on high and maximum camera distance.

Don’t need to, I’m in my guild neighborhood and they don’t do anything to obstruct or hinder anyone’s house views.
I feel like the the floating house issue can be solved with HOA charter neighborhoods. Name them variations of No Man’s Sky. I am sure there are at least 10 people that would want to join a neighborhood with no floating houses.
I have seen some trash heaps on housing plots. People just throw all kinds of crap on their plot again that is on public and I don’t have to worry since mine is in our guild’s neighborhood
I am on public and I see something…interesting choices but they don’t bother me. Well I did tell my husband to hide his outhouse.
I fly high enough I don’t see much when going to “town” and back. I rode the road from my plot to the village and back once, to get the view of the place, and that’s enough.
Then the problem, such as it is, is already solved for you, Marvin the Martian.

I don’t have an issue with them floating…as long as you can undo it. Right now, mine is floating and I don’t want it to. I did it by accident trying to move an item on the house.

I really don’t see the issue with floating houses. So what if it was initially a bug? I don’t think it should be fixed. It’s a creative thing to do. Things in this game float sometimes. Just go to Silvermoon.. floating flower pots, floating trees… why not have your house float too? Honestly, I saw a guy plop his house on some floating rocks and it inspired me to do some interesting floating “flower pots” I made out of tables and flowers… Sometimes maybe things don’t appeal to you personally but I don’t think its right to take it out just because you don’t see the creativity in it. Let people be creative.

In my neighborhood I have the biggest house with the Tauren windmill at 200% on top , and mine is floating, I wish there were more people like me in my neighborhood, please switch places with me, my neighborhood is boring, most houses are simple and on the ground, I hate my neighborhood haha

houses yes, things like a giant pile of rocks or other things, no.
Plots don’t load until you get closer. That has nothing to do with graphical settings and everything to do with how the phasing loads from the distance Blizz allows.

What if you had like this great view and then your neighbor just builds a wall all around their property and… no more view.
I thought about ditching the plots with views and getting a plot right in the middle of everything like surrounded by roads and stuff. The roads have lanterns or torches and look so neato dorito.

You can keep saying that all you want, but there is a minimum distance for plot phasing to load that has nothing to do with the graphics. You aren’t sitting in Razorwind Shores and seeing plots across the map with floating houses.
Of course, your displeasure is moot. Blizz is keeping floating houses.
