Please fix the floating houses

Floating house next to my friend’s house looks really good.
Don’t be a party pooper.

There don’t need to be floating houses EXACTLY like this ANYWHERE else in the game. We’re players with agency and can make new things. The fact that magically floating structures already exist is enough. Remember, these are OUR houses, not some random civilian’s house. We can do whatever we want. It’s a neighborhood of Champions.

I love them and think it’s fun. I have no desire to float my own house but if players want to let them. When community neighborhoods come out maybe you can form one with an HOA and a set of rules for housing but until then just … deal.

Not to mention they are bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. Excluding dungeons like Karazhan, no other “house” in the game is like that.
Blizzard decided to give players a lot of freedom with houses and I am very appreciative of that.

Same here! I put rocks under mine and scaled them up to 200%.

heckity. This might be the first time in the history of WoW where Blizzard said “Fun Detected… and condoned.”

Oh I’ve gotta try this out before they patch it.

I can’t blame you too much here, but it allows for a lot of genuinely creative designs (a lot of us have already seen the Howl’s Moving Castle build, probably).

With how easily we can move plots, I want Blizzard to keep things as free and flexible as possible. Even small adjustments can impose unwanted limitations outside of the thing that was being targeted in the first place, and I don’t know about testing the waters there when we aren’t stuck in a single spot and moving plots is relatively easy. I’d rather focus on custom or guild neighborhoods down the line. Sharding RP servers would also help a lot.

As long as they’re going to allow for floating, though, I agree that texturing the underside of the house would be a good idea, as well as implementing more floating/magically enchanted decor items that would go a long way to make those builds blend in more.

They’ve already made a post saying they intend to support flying houses

Yeah, it’s a nice sign that sometimes Blizz can acknowledge fun without removing it.

Perhaps you could go talk to your neighbor and kindly ask them to place something under the house to give it bottom.

Perhaps they like the untextured bottom because it fits the theme they want.

Plant a tree.

I wish I could make mine into the shape of a Tardis

I mean it’s a game, I think it’s more rude to ruin someone else’s fun in content that literally does not matter and there are nigh infinite places to move to that are exactly the same.

I would very much like to make my house float.

Risen again, this time above the world.

Me personally, I don’t care for floating houses and won’t be using that feature but understand how cool it is to other players and cool with it being a feature as long as it doesn’t block or hinder my plots view.

tell me where your house is so i can go point out all the things about it that ruin my fun and make you change it

If you don’t like my house then move away from my house. There are an infinite number of plots not in my neighborhood.

Oh okay, I apologize for the snark then!
