In short, just no. Both have good and appropriate faction-related options, and more than what you tried to dismiss Horde as.
Yea, I’m pointing out Blizzard’s hypocrisy, not arguing with you. Is english not your first language? Idk how what I said can be misconstrued. I’m literally agreeing with you.
I’ve watched both these videos…No. The Horde is literally Desert, Beach, Azshara. Where’s the Forsaken area? Where’s the blood elf area? There is none.
sped through the whole video. desert and jungle. that’s it. your sources are on my side not yours.
Duskwood & Gilneas, my dude.
They always do when they make Horde artwork. Never any Forsaken or Belf architecture…always mud huts in a desert or a jungle. Goblin chic if we’re lucky.
BUT, having said that, Duskwood and Gilneas. It’s not wrong that Alliance got a Duskwood theme. It’s wrong that Horde didn’t get a Forsaken one.
Are you blind or just ignorant? You didn’t see a whole Azshara themed autumnal forest? It’s right there in the thumbnail for crying out loud.
I linked instead to two videos by Crendor going over the place, but the framing was all Dirtman. Where they wanted to say “Only Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren fit here” and on the Alliance side … eh, if we are using this type of reductionist thinking then only Humans and argubly gnomes and dwarves fit there.
Yes, there is a Moonwell and spirits flying around in a single location. That location is set inside of the Duskwood-themed portion of the woods, which is a human zone. But sure, extend it to Night Elves if you want to, but at that point I’m going to remove gnomes and dwarves as they were merely just arguably part of it, then you end up with “Choices that only fit Humans and Night Elves.”
Same reductionist argument that ignores the entire point of the system, all in order to try to fit a miniscule box just to try to create a narrative that fits it.
Where’s the snowy mountains for Dwarves and Gnomes? Where’s the random crash site for Draenei? Where’s the boats for Kul Tirans? Where’s the temples for Pandaren? Where are the draconic tombs for the Dracthyr?
So on and so on. You can do the same thing for Horde, and it is still a bad line of thinking and reasoning. The zones are themed around each faction’s capital, and that’s it.
They might add to this later, or they might not. But there’s a difference between “Fix something [that isn’t broken]” and “I would love to see you expand this by adding more areas in the future.”
One is someone just being reductionist and inflammatory, and the other is being genuinely constructive.
forest jungle yellow pine tree.
alliance get spooky zones cliffs town beach and mountains.
alliance get way more biomes than horde. i didn’t mention the stupid pine tree because i don’t care about it. argue with the arguement not the inconsequentail detail.
EXACTLY! It’s insane they gloss over the elves when they’re the focus of the expansion and the forsaken that are literally human prior to being forsaken. You can’t erase the forsaken.
What part of Azshara ≠ Forsaken or Blood elf do you not understand?
gnomes/dwarves live in the mountains so they fit in the mountain zone.
elves can live in the woods. teldrasil is a forest. literally any woodland area works for them.
humans can go anywhere. so can worgen. they also have a spooky zone.
i feel like you just didn’t look at the alliance housing zone and are trying to argue with 0 context to anything.
It’s gorgeous. That is definitely where Merimoo is gonna live. That plot with the rope bridge in the woods? /chef’s kiss
The point is though, they have an area fitting for them with purplish hews, animals, a moonwell…Etc etc. It’s so upsetting the Forsaken nor the Blood elves have the same treatment! There’s no spooky zone, It’s too bright in the daytime. There’s no vibrant area, It’s too muted for blood elves. Heck, the Goblin’s are surviving by a thread because they went so long involved with the hardcore Horde areas until Undermine.
Just like there’s no Dwarven, Draenei, Nelf, Gnome, etc. zones for Alliance.
Each of them is modeled after three areas.
Alliance:
- Elwynn Forest
- Duskwood
- Westfall
Horde:
- Durotar
- Azshara
- Echo Isles
there is a dwarven, night elf and gnome zone. They all fit in the same aesthetic and get a mountain.
No they absolutely do not.
There are only three zones that the place is modeled after: Elwynn, Duskwood, Westfall.
Yes, there’s a Moonwell that exists inside of the Duskwood section and therefore … Duskwood is a Kaldorei and not human zone. Gotcha.
It genuinely isn’t as there’s still plenty of choices available on the Horde side not to mention customization options that is supposed to alter how the outside looks. There’s not a Sin’dorei or Forsaken zone next to Orgrimmar, so… there isn’t one right now.
Simple as that. But sure, this is a subjective thing, but it is just so easy to dismiss since there’s no special treatment on either side. They both just have zones that are inspired by the surrounding zones next to or near each faction’s capital cities.
Azshara.
wrong. they have a mountain.
I’m hoping in the future they add other islands with Night Elf/Undead/whatever style looks, within the same neighborhoods.
I get starting with Human and Orc, but I don’t want those to be the only options forever, and I also don’t want them to be separated into different neighborhoods if they do get added.
I’m more of a Durotar guy but the Azshara area looks nice.
Sen there’s really no reasoning with these two they’re acting like spoiled, entitled brats.
Are you like trolling now? Did you even read what I said? Wtf Blood elf lives in Azshara? Only Night elves and Orcs do. You’re arguing to argue, you have no point.
