they are preventing you from grouping, I’m pretty sure
In official self found mode?
That would be pretty important to mention and I’ve not seen anything in writing that was said about that.
(bolded emphasis mine)
That’s how it was described here (first question/answer):
maybe you can still group that would be disappointing. it basically means you can trade items by grouping with others. whatever. why should I expect blizzard to get SSF right. I shouldn’t.
Eyr,
It’s late and maybe you are tired.
Read the part in the quote box again.
“You don’t have the ability to trade…” So not with group members or Susan Express.
Also this mode is self found not solo self found.
if an item drops while you’re grouped, you can say “i’ll give you that item if i can get item X off of the next boss” trading.
Why would you care about loot rules for a group you aren’t a part of?
That’s weird.
You don’t have to agree to group with people that have rules you don’t like.
i’m just so sick of all the bad design decisions
Never understood the obsession with SSF, from my perspective as someone who has played on both BSB and Defias Pillager the only difference for me was that I could only do dungeons one time, skipped elite quests at higher levels and had to compete with more people for quest mobs in SSF. So I just spent more time grinding mobs and some professions were pretty much locked to me.
Because (imo) it really wasn’t SSF on Bloodsail. The title is telling, solo self found. There’s nothing solo about grouping.
Maybe this is a bit of a hot take but I cannot fathom why anyone would want to play without doing a single dungeon to 60 in classic wow. That said SSF for WoW in general isn’t my speed, I find it pretty boring.
I have given up complaining because Addon plauyers are so condescending and toxic.
I experienced HC-addon players on the EU RP realm. This is not an experience I want to repeat. And I see the same tencdency now in the official HC ealms, now that the population has shrunk, and the Addon-players are not “thinned” enough
The problem is basically: I don’t give a hoot how others play, be it naked, Addon, SSF, IronMan, AH flipping, Bank-alting, painted blue or whatever. But the Addon-players feel called to comment, and deride, my playstyle.
I love my professions way too much to go that way. I do an IronMan now and again - which is NOT the same, I also do self fund ie. I earn evey C. myself - no sending og stuff from main to alt, except C.O.D, but NOT solo, as I buy Profession items and grey gear (shoulders predominantly) off AH.
I wote to give SSF their own server --or layer, as Kynsa suggests.
I doubt putting player types on their own layer/server will be necessary after the 30th. I think a good amount of the negativity will be heading to greener pastures (SoM). Hopefully they’ll take much of the botting with them as well. You can already see interest has shifted. This forum is a LOT quieter, for instance. On the characters I have guilded here, the chat is all about SoM.
There’ll be room for all of us.
I like to do different modes on different characters. Some normally with just the death penalty, some more of a survival feel. Mixing it up a bit works best for me. Hope you have an enjoyable journey, no matter how you play.
Instead of SSF they should just try playing horde, there’s your extra challenge. Way less players to bail you out, your cities have elevators and you interact with the most deadly thing in the game (gravity) way more.
I play both factions. And yeah, that elevator boss is mean and scary.
Yeah. I kind of want to make my next character a degenerate twink with bait gear and see how many ears I can collect before I fall.
Haha, best of luck!
Why in the world would anyone want to play a version of the game where ret paladin is viable?
iKR? It’s just nutty!
Isn’t fall damage just a noob killer though? Doesn’t really suggest horde is much harder to me.
i love the evolution of quin’s SSF journy on twitch.
he’s up to SSF+++
+group +auction house +ethical.
its hilarious. I’m not interested in SSF at all, its like trying to put a complicated jigsaw puzzle together on your own for the challenge and the people that come up to your table to help you push away in a childlike selfish way.
