Point is Goblins are a meme and that’s enough. No one needs another stoic Hero race. We have gnomes for this reason.
You’re welcome to view them as that. Doesn’t mean that’s what they are, though.
Gazlowe isn’t a representation of a stoic hero. He’s a pioneer of his race in terms of understanding the relationship between paying his people well and making more money in the long haul, and threw his lot in with the Horde.
You don’t have to like Goblins, but you aren’t deciding what they are, either.
Use warcraft(.)wiki(.)gg instead.
People who think Gazlowe is a stoic hero really haven’t been doing his quests. He’s anything but.
Dude literally used a gnome as a meat shield to get through to mechagon. That was funny, ruthless, and protective of his own employees.
I know what Goblins are. Just because Gazlowe starts breaking rules doesen’t mean everything changes.
Apparently you seem to think goblins are a monolith without individual personalities, so… No, you don’t.
I rather trust a Gnome when it comes to tech. However I won’t deny some goblins do know how to do some tech good.
Goblins aren’t about tech. Their whole thing is trade.
Gallywix is no longer a Horde leader and hasn’t been for a long time.
Personally, I hope at the end of the Raid fight Gallywix launches an escape rocket chair, only for it to malfunction (due to poor maintenance) and splatter him over a building, and then have some startled cleaner who didn’t see him crash say “That must have been some bird!”
No but he should be.
Should be what? Leader of a people he doesn’t want to lead but enslave and control?
I think Gallywix remaining leader was necessary. He knows how to make money, and despite the fact that Gazlowe had the full backing of Thrall, he was still scared of getting assassinated by the other cartels iirc, in his short story.
That’s what would’ve happened if Sassy or the player became leader in Cata.
I know at least 5 other bilgewater goblins better fit even without the PC.
You mixed up the names there. Gazlowe knows how to make money, Gallywix siphoned money and Gallywix was the one who was hiding from the goblin player character “the boss”. Mostly he was safe because of the backing of Thrall but that was about it.
I really wanted Sassy to be the Bilgewater leader though. Our right hand in crime, she knew what the cartel needed.
Leave him poor on the streets of undermine then. Thatll complete his story arc, and its a really goblin way to go. He got rich, climbed the ladder, and then made a bad bet and gambled away everything–boom hes on the streets where he started, and his character arc is satisfying and VERY goblin.
Also it lets the player goblin, whos wanted him ruined since literally level 1, have their big bad finally defeated.
Blizzard will forgot the Goblin PC and hog all glory to some alliance hero like they always do.
We beat gallywix, the goblin pc steps up–
–tirion fordring pops out of the ground. “Well done champions! I have returned from the realms of death to thank you in…assisting me in defeating whoever this is”
Yeah, if we can’t kill him, I want to do to him what he did to Trade Prince Maldy. Take all his assets, leave him on an island to die of starvation and gloat as we enjoy his riches.
Yee, and have maldys daughter he fancied be the one to put the scheme together
Let his mistakes catch up with him finally, rather than “muahaha i have embraced the bad purple, and am now going to kill you to destroy creation unless you kill me more than i kill you!”
Like hes still working with xally for sure but let it be business, not void corruption. A goblin problem with a goblin solution… on that note, ill accept him dying if hes tied to fireworks rockets and launched up above his palace to celebrate
