Hate to break it to you, but it’s going to be an M+ dungeon in Season 1, along with Ara-Kara, The City of Threads and the Stonevault for TWW dungeons.
i hate the silly boss mechanic where you gotta fly away and come back. im not even supposed to be able to mount when in combat lol.
this gimmick is not even fun and doesnt make sense. weird.
What’s crazy is I like the sky riding part, but I hate the intermission part.
They should’ve did something like reworked Deadmines where you just swing on a rope to a ledge or something to get away from the mechanic, would’ve been fine.
The VanCleef fight is annoying too though.
was in there with a friend who plays bm and her pets would just stand there all glitched out. target not in los saying. so many pathing issues to.
I think it’s less that they hate RP and more that RP when the time completed matters is obnoxious. Halls of Valor comes to mind.
Go to dawnbreaker, kill stuff. Fly to other ship, kill stuff. Fly to the other other ship, kill stuff. Back to dawnbreaker for boss. Fly off of ship when she starts charging up the orb, fly back when shes done. Then, and this is the hardest part, you fly off the ship to kill the 3 mobs before the second boss. Look for the yellow circles, they’re safe zones. After the 3 and boss are dead, back to dawnbreaker. Do the killing, and mid boss fight chase him on your mount collecting the orbs he leaves behind so you dont die. Kill him. Dungeon? more like done-geon amirite?
It’s a rip off of the boat boss from ICC. Hopefully Dawnbreaker can be free loot like boat boss was too.
No, it isn’t.
Not even close.
Have you even done the dungeon?
Reported it during beta and also post release but p2 final boss for balance is completely bricked. Fury of elune isnt usable because it doesnt have any pathing setup and our meme beam doesnt path into the boss most of the time. Luckily none of my bis is from there so I’ll be avoiding it like the plague until fixes are deployed.
Yeah, that encounter where you jump from ship to ship, it’s boat boss from ICC.
Even crazier tech u can literally just fly to the end and sit by the priest guy whos channeling the big light orb. Saves time
No it isn’t.
Boat boss in ICC focuses on you trying to take down the enemy warship. You use cannons to damage the ship, needing to watch for heat levels so you don’t overheat your cannons and make them unusable for a few seconds. While that’s going on the rest of your group needs to kill the enemy groups that teleport over and when your cannons do freeze over thanks to the archmage on the enemy ship, only then do you rocket over, kill the archmage and then rocket back.
The battle ends when the enemy ship is destroyed.
The Dawnbreaker dungeon has you fly over to two enemy skiffs which need to be destroyed, that’s it. There are no cannons, there’s no overheat mechanic, there’s no archmage freezing the non-existent cannons, there’s no massive vessel that you have to fly over to to kill the non-existent archmage.
You fight two bosses on the ship, one of which by throwing bombs at it, and one boss on the ground, and during the first boss you have to mount up and fly off the ship to avoid dying at least once depending on how fast you kill the boss.
They are not remotely similar.
ppl really don’t like this dungeon
It sure seems to be split people love it or hate it there doesn’t seem to be much in between. From people in game I’ve talked to (2 guilds, a discord channel and random groups after the dungeon) it seems like the vast majority are in the dislike camp but that might be me hanging out with people that think like me.
Pugbreaker!
None of those dungeons were bad, they just take a little knowledge about the dungeon.
People will stop complaining about this dungeon when they learn how to do it… it’s as simple as that.
Have you tried communicating? I was in a few of these dungeons, and one person communicated using pings and another with actual chat… turns out communication clears problems up really quick.
Ron Howard voice : It will absolutely be in M+
I’m like “whatever.” It’s a weird format and a little buggy maybe, but it’s ok.
My biggest issue with this dungeon is how unintuitive it is, the town part is absolute hell.
Louder! I hated HoV because of that.
