Please DON'T Do Blood Moon For Phase 4

I just think the skirmish FFA idea was really fun and fresh. There are already ample opportunities for organized PVP, which let’s face it, becomes a zerg fest in parsing games like SoD. I think the first iteration of Blood Moon was really, really fun. Then they tinkered with it and kind of messed it a bit. I do hope for something new in P4 tho, or something in addition to STV.

there’s a crater…

you will get recycled blood moon phase 4 event, and you will be happy :expressionless:

Lol, um yes you are correct. Thank you for that. And stv is a peninsula.

What’s your point?

Currently I don’t see any ample opportunities for organized or organic World PvP beyond 1-5 players aside from scuffles outside the ST entrance. The Maraudon fights aren’t as plentiful, Felwood isn’t consistent, and Incursion vendor fights vanished overnight when blizz added the guards because of the whiners that got lost on their way to Wild Growth.

Could just be my server (Lone Wolf). An RP-PvP server would’ve been a better option; at least on CS/CB I’d wager players actually want to fight for more than just the rewards. I know for a fact that some of the WPvP communities from Emerald Dream are there.

yes they should remove the best content they added in all of SoD

I think “where boss???” being the right way to do STV does suck though. especially at beach, it’s annoying. I think that’s a fair criticism.

BiS fun spots in STV are gurubashi and zg

arena is pretty fun if you can king of the hill one of the good spots. but yea boss is the only bad design at the start, but at this point the population needs to be concentrated.

that camel hump hill always had people spawning non stop lol.

didn’t even bother to try STV in the DRs but I heard coins were so bad, especially the first one

I think the STV event would’ve been fun if it was actually a free for all, but it’s not actually FFA and really doesn’t feel like it. If they really were worried about healers, they should’ve just made it groups of 2 not 5. Even then though, it might get old after 1 phase for most people. I waited to do it until p3 when it was more than barely functional, and even then, I really hope I never have to do it again because it’s still almost unfunctional for bm hunters who need their pet

so did everyone and their mother?

a planned classic BG was supposed to go there but was never finished.

Mix in Nathanos too! Like as the end boss of the zone event.

You don’t need to make a bilateral event. It can be one sided, where one faction is always attacking, while the other is always defending.

What about the constant DMF posts?

It’s a bit of a pipe dream, but I think it’d be cool to actually have a PvP event in Alterac Mountains. (It’s not an overly used zone and isn’t the only way to get to other zones, so it would be less disruptive than Ashenvale or STV has been.)

Not exactly sure what they would do since there isn’t any Stormpike/Frostwolf presence in Alterac Mountains outside of the BG entrances/RepVendor.

Perhaps a tug of war or collision between sub commanders and the respective BG entrances?

I love blood moon. Keep up the FFA pvp moving into phase 4. Wild growth is unplayable without it

I personally love STV. I think it’s thematic and small group pvp is a great time. I do agree that a new event is needed for 60 cap though.

I don’t know if it would be good, but I wanted to toy with the idea of EPL towers flipping the territory from alliance territory or horde territory instead of as always contested. Then, there would have to be a little alliance/horde base somewhere as well for quests, vendors, flightpoint, etc. Also flightmasters to go between the towers. Whichever faction that doesn’t control the territory has more elite npc patrolling guards on mounts and kind of assist in taking back the territory.

Azshara is also a contender, but burning steppes could be a great zone for pvp too. Searing gorge is already used mostly for getting to BRM so adding more there would just be hell and there’s already a separate alli/horde flight path. Plus, there’s one very iconic spot, the altar of storms, and I don’t think it’s really used for much in vanilla. It was used in lore by Orc warlocks to give magical powers to ogres. It’s also an iconic structure in WC3 and the same things used in Heroes of the Storm. So it’s connected to something magical/can summon. Not sure what they could do to play around with that, but its a cool spot

Yikes. Hope you eventually found a better team.

Played BM as priest constantly with a great group of friends. It wasn’t the total ffa experience I believe I would have liked but overall was a huge win for the Classic team trying something new.
:person_shrugging:

You get more BM and you will LIKE IT.

They’re still working on the foundation of whatever p4 is supposed to be and AV is the most awaited BG (bots rejoice). I’d be surprised if they introduced an entirely new PvPvE concept in p4, but who knows?
