PLEASE do not do this. Removing this in pve is fine but for pvp this is such a giant blanket nerf… like what?? Swp is insane for sniping grounding totems and keeping players in combat. The only other thing we will have that is instant cast with no resource cost is death… and most games you can’t just be throwing that out. Please reconsider or find a way to keep this in pvp.
Incorrect, ret lost repentance, and blinding ligjt is now a choice with searing glare basically.
Ret also lost shield of vengeance as a standalone button, it procs now from divine protection.
I get it none of you actually play ret and just repeat what your favorite eceleb says but ret is fundamentally changing in a good wayit seems. Holy power generation is being cut down which makes worrying obtaining hp a thing now once again. Stronger spenders is also a goal now. The cost of this is we lost any kind of setup (dusk and dawn, divine arbiter and final reckoning are gone, only a worse execution sentence remains)
The thing is theres still room to improve alpha design but ret hasnt gotten any meaningful changes
Akshually ret lost rep, ignore the fact that every ret plays blind right now anyway.
Funny that rep is the only thing pinks gaslight about like it even means anything.
Blizzard also baked SoV into divine protection ohhh no poor rets. Now they dont need to macro them together anymore!!
Actually not, by making them a single button they reduce their number of walls to 1 perminute. You know sometimes both were used together but not always.
I guess its too much to ask you to play or care for the spec you cry 24/7.
I know it’s early but, shadow is in TROUBLE for midnight. Janky talent tree, wonky scaling and several talents all buffing spirits and dots that currently tick for 150-300 ( devour can crit for 9k on alpha-- so like 30 to 60 seconds of dot time in an instant.), persistent problems in the design of the spec which prevents proper aoe or ST tuning. Then you see changes like this that just make you scratch your head
The last thing the devs care about right now is how these class changes impact PvP. They will be focusing hard on getting class and pve encounter design in an acceptable place with streamlined specs and no addons. They probably won’t even look at pvp much until the first weeks after Midnight has been released. If we are extremely lucky they’ll do a playtest with the devs 1 week before launch and nerf DK’s and Enhance Shaman so hard it will take them the rest of the expansion to recover.
