Yeah - If some dummy is claiming they were banned for ‘escaping combat’ with an exploit as common as follow-dungeon queues they took an L for a completely diferent, more legitimate reason. Like cheating, botting, etc.
Even when taking an actual queue mid combat; nothing more needs to be said.
Reread what I posted. They didn’t ban anyone for taking a queue while engaged in PvP because a Deepholm Potion is exactly the same sort of escape. People were banned from something else, not taking a queue. How may BG’s queue’s have been taken while fighting someone or something in the world?
Ok, putting the ban argument aside—no, a Deepholm Potion is not the same as follower dungeons.
You can’t use Deepholm potions in combat, and other escape mechanics like Bubble Hearth or Shadowmeld + Flight Form all have counters.
Follower dungeons, on the other hand, are instant, have no cooldown, fully heal the user, and let them immediately teleport back out and resume fighting—only to teleport out again the moment things go south. It’s an endless cycle of immunity that no other escape ability in the game comes close to replicating.
Luckily, they’re fixing it next patch. It’ll no longer teleport you if you’re combat and will give you an error.
Listen to me very carefully since several of you are not following the conversation. No one has ever received a ban from taking a Companion Dungeon Queue. Period.
