Tim chilton had spoke about it in some interview, during the production of wod. Was a long time ago. I can’t link stuff here lol I thought it was during legion.

Blizzard has “six or seven” World of Warcraft expansions planned; “easily 10 years worth of stuff”

That’s a title of an article back then. I would have to dig around on YouTube or something maybe to find more.

Was something that just stuck with me since then tho I guess

I know , but if they’re looking at sales, then they’re doing it wrong … a lot of people bought it , only to let dust accumulate on it due to how bad it was at the start , even tho they fixed it , a lot of those sold copies never launched the game after that fiasco…

Lies. They’d keep making expansions for one hundred years if it was profitable enough. With the last two expansions being quite bad honestly I can only hope they’ll put more effort into the next one.

I wouldn’t keep my hopes up but shadowlands set the bar really, really low. Then again it also shows how low effort hey can go with content and people still accepting it. Which is scary in itself.

Keep in mind that they wanted to create “1 year” expansions starting with WoD. So a few of those could’ve been merged into other expansions. It is why I feel that Argus and Ny’alotha were going to be expansions until the whole “1 year” expansions flopped hard.

Gonna go with, you literally have no data to support that statement. A lot of those sales are from the multi-platform releases that happened after the initial problems were fixed.

Also, in the gaming industry sales are really all that matters. Especially for games that don’t have a method of continuously generating revenue.

This seems like nonsense to me.

Would just be better to make WOW open source and it it away from idiot investors who think they can direct the flow of fun by hiring idiot directors

Probably because it is.

I actually made it that far. It looked about 99% fake up until here, but this makes it utterly obvious. Blizz won’t ever make another mmorpg.

WoW entering maintenance mode? Again, no chance. They’ll milk that thing for years and years with micro-transactions. And Wrath will be out 2022, not 2023. They’ll rush that out after the dumpster fire that is TBCC. Gotta sell them Deluxe Wrath packs.

Given I check the ABK job board daily and have for the past 13 months I have this to offer:

There are no postings for Untitled projects other than a few related to what appear to be mobile platform titles. There are also several OW content and design positions posted regularly and recently as well as tons of WoW team positions.

Add to this the fact that developing an entirely new MMO is not in any shape, form, or fashion in line with Koticks previous MO or his stated plans for Activision. This doesn’t line up at all with the information contained in this supposed leak so going on that evidence alone I’d say this is complete garbage.
