It is an era server, devs won’t be spending much( or any) time in. They barely spent in time in it to begin with. The time they did spend was to make changes, most didn’t care for and hurt the game. No new or even copy and paste content to work on, either. Just what a server cost for a year. Not a good argument against it.
I honestly don’t think 2 permanent wrath classic servers would cost that much to blizzard in the long run lol.
I mean, it would require maintenance here and there. But not much.

Between SoD and Cata I honestly don’t think 1 permanent Wrath server would even be full. Look at Wrath since SoD launch… its dead af. Most people want something new, even if its rehashed Cata. Very few people want to just exist in nostalgia land.

The server I am on currently for wrath classic has a ton of people playing and gearing up currently. Never understood this argument. Alot of servers are dead. But the one I am on currently is booming. And most players on my server alone don’t want to move forward and to also have the option of playing cataclysm as well as permanent wrath.

no one will play on them. The 15 people posting on 20 diff alts gaslighting this issue won’t change Blizzards mind.
Waste of resources for Blizzard Era servers that have no population on them. Cost money to host media/servers…
People that only play WOTLK don’t play classic they play private servers with active developers and 5k-10k populations…not era servers that would have less than 100 people on them.
reality check is needed for small amount of people that would actually play era lol.
Vanilla era was only populated by HC scene, and now its like dead with broken economy. HC servers are even now dead with sod out.

Just don’t make 100 servers, 2 servers is enough.
1 PVP and 1 PVE, with layers on them.
For TBC, for Wrath, for future Cata and SOD.

that’s false, and you must of never ran a business before, hosting a server for like 40 people and 1 guild that may raid icc forever would be incredibly stupid.

This is just straight lies. You realize we can lookup numbers for people raiding and doing pvp right? If your server is “poppin” its bots.
You can cry for wrath servers all you want, but don’t lie to make a point.

it’s literally just the same person on alts that spam about classic era servers every day, not realizing the forums are empty and none wants era servers other than a small less than 100 people…which their sub money is not even enough to cover a server being up for 1 day lol.

I mean while we can assume that we have no idea how many there might be after cata drops. As for the estimate because a sub is 15/month with about 700 ppl rounded, we do have ~10,500 a month but there are the tokens which can be bought for gold and cost 20$ while taking 15$ worth of sub from another account. So each gives 5$ but unlike subs there is really no sealing and well token costs have gone up alot since they said no current plans for wrath.
Not sure if a petition would be a good measure. Maybe more so sub losses, or the size of private servers.

I think that is the reality at this point. If blizzard won’t provide wrath classic servers as a permanent option. Private servers are where those classic wrath players will head over to anyways.

Not sure, unlike in ~2010, we have alternate versions which won’t result in ban, the wrath fans or at least some might be sucked up into sod, there have been growing numbers. Not going to quit though the raids seem odd, challenging at first but also where they are much easier if you know the deets. Back in 2010 there was no alternate versions aside from private servers. So while many will be going more will stay for sod since I do not think they removed gdkp thus bots in sod because they want the bots in cata.
See you in legion or tbc, not sure which though. Sod seems on the up even though we are at the end of p1 and people are prepping for gnomer. sod is the most hyped wow rn.
I just wish they would add options for wrath classic to. Like a permanent wrath classic server. A wrath hardcore server. A wrath SOM server. A wrath classic plus server.
Like why is it all about vanilla. Some of us, liked wrath more than any other version of this game. And I just think it is annoying that the original incarnation of the game, is the only version that matters when it comes to permanent server options, or an SOM option, or a hardcore option, or a classic plus option.
Some of us don’t like vanilla wow. I liked wrath the best. I didn’t like vanilla all that much compared to wrath.
