Maybe OP hates to go DEEP into Strat and its a long way out to use tundra mammoth? I haven’t been there in years. I assume it takes time to get back to entrance.
Whenever I go farm instances for mogs, pets and mounts I do those chores on an alt with 30 slot bags empty.
I really need to clean out my mains bags, but this is why I have alts. If I can’t do something on my main for whatever reason I use my alts.
Make an alt or have an alt with a ton of bag space available.
It’s nice up here. Spacious. You can tell by the misuse of the word, “literally,” when you obviously mean, “figuratively.”
What’s wrong with adding a vendor to the instance? Why are you adamant about this one particular hill?
I have yet to see ONE forum topic in which Blizz replied and said “Hey, that’s a good idea, I’m gonna add that right away” I doubt anyone is against the idea, but not likely it will happen.
I should ask for a barber shop in my garrison…
it does but he claimed he was farming it so you have to come out to reset anyway.
I would rather if they are going to waste time putting NPCs in those instances - that they put one at the end of every instance that will let you leave instead of running all the way back.
They usually don’t reply and that’s fine.
There’s one poster who’s adamant against the idea, but don’t mind him.
A vendor would be nice for anyone who’s full-clearing the instance (live side and dead side) like me. No need to exit and sell halfway through before diving in again. I have pets, toys and mounts that can all serve but a vendor would be a nicer solution for everyone.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a vendor added to pretty much every instance
Do you not walk out of the instance to reset it or something?
There are no friendly ghosts.
Personally I think adding a vendor to instance entrances is a good idea. We already have em for a few. Wouldn’t even mind if we had a questline/achieve that falls in line with us receiving it per xpac - that makes sense to keep storyline in check of course. As far as QoL update, I don’t think it’s bad to ask for something like this.
While I see the pluses of this idea as a farmer myself, I would like to throw my hat into the right with a slightly different idea that might be easier to implement–allow mounting inside all instances.
Edit to add: Even if you have to tie it in with all bosses being killed before being able to mount would make life much easier.
I don’t have any problem with this. It doesn’t hurt anybody. I could see a vendor in the chapel at the entrance being a good addition.
Make little Pamela the vendor! I’m not great with lore so I have no idea if it would make sense, but she’s the sweetest ghost
Do it on a druid. Run instance. Use Dreamwalk. Activate Traveller’s Tundra Mammoth (don’t tell me you don’t own it!). Vendor stuff. Use Dreamwalk again. Rinse and repeat.
Oh! Oh, that’s a great idea! Added to my list right under “Deep in a dungeon, make a group in group finder, leave group and get ported out after a minute for faster exit.”
Yes, I’ve been using it for ages. My Horde druid is a herbalist/scribe and I regularly do Darkheart Thicket for the flower mobs after the first boss, sneak past boss, do not kill, kill and farm flower mobs, dreamwalk out, get rid of crap, dreamwalk back to the entrance, reset and do again. The herbs from there can be ground to make ink for a bunch of very useful glyphs.
I’m feeling esceptionally dense right now, this is the only toon I play, have since Classic when I swtiched from hunter–alts are for holiday events, pet trainers out of the way etc. I use Dreamwalk occassionally and even remembered it will put me back where I was, but it’s nothing I really got into the habit of LOL.
Yes! Especially Siege of Orgrimmar.
It feels like it takes 45 minutes to run through the whole thing even though there are a few spots you can use a mount to go through faster.
They also need to remove guild page/harald temporary appearance and cool down.
The vendor is probably not a bad idea, but if it’s in the beginning of the instance and you have to leave and reset anyways, what is the point of the vendor if it’s in front of the instance if you can just mount up and sell as you reset it.
I think the guild page pet could just have a 0 cool down summon and you can sell whenever you feel like it instead of making trips back and forth to a vendor.
When I farm Night Hold and finish it I take off my gear and jump to my death to get back to the instance entrance so I can start farming the next difficulty .
Yes this a 1000 times this! an NPC or some clickable item that ports you back to the entrance. like the SoO thing in reverse
Fact is, I hadn’t considered it to start with either, until someone told me about the option and how useful it could be. Especially as I don’t play my druids as much as I do other classes.
