There’s currently 40 Alliance online the Maelstrom/Venture-co/Lightninghoof Connected realm group. If you count the bots that you haven’t banned and have been online 23 hours a day for the last four months, there’s about 80 Alliance online.
This server group is listed at Medium (the bots literally make it a Medium sized realm, instead of a Low one). I heard some buzz about further server connections being made around Blizzcon, but with most things Blizzard, there’s been no mention of it since.
How many more months or years are we going to have to wait before you fix this problem? There shouldn’t be servers with 40 people online a faction on a Sunday night. There shouldn’t be servers this dead in the most successful MMORPG of all time.
Please, fix the dead realms. Merge us, Megaserver us; do something.
P.S. I just checked another server and the same hunter bots with the same names are in Eye of Azshara. It’s really, really bad that you have the data that shows these hunter bots on every server sitting in Eye of Azshara 23 hours a day botting for months on end without you doing anything about it.

No thanks. Some people prefer low pop servers. You have a way to fix this issue of yours, transfer or level somewhere else. Stop trying to ruin the game for others.

It’s an MMORPG, go play a single player game.

Nah, I’m good. I’ll play this one. I pay the same amount of money you do each month, well, for this one account. This is a you issue, not all of us feel the same.
Good thing Ion already said it’s an issue they’re looking to fix. Go play a single player game kiddo.

When it happens it happens, until then it’s a non-issue for many players.

I have a better idea.
Give us the ability to avoid CRZ and shards or see and pick out of the various ones.
I often don’t want to see a single person near me. I want all the resources (mobs and mats) to myself. Hell even farming world bosses/rares is now near impossible given how few instances exist vs when each server had their own. This means rares like TLPD are actually MORE rare and difficult to get now vs when it was current content.
Thanks for bumping my thread, friendos. More posts means more visibility and a higher chance for Blizzard to act on this problem.

I don’t mean to rain on your parade but that’s not how it works.
Thanks for the bump dude, thanks for recognizing the objective problem of dead servers in an MMORPG.

Merging servers means publicly acknowledging the massive collapse of players due to this terrible expansion.

Literally the reason you can’t try to design for everyone. But even the most strident loner is not impacted by having more robust servers. You’ll continue to be irrelevant while the game will continue to succeed. Your version of let the game die because you’re a loner is not very wise

Lower population servers are in a really bad spot right now. Due to CRZ, we have the resource competition and MOB competition equal to larger servers but with non-functioning economies. A low population server does not get you zones with just a few people in them. The only real upside of dead servers is that trade chat does not have anyone trolling because there is no one to respond.

I believe a lot of people hate it and they refuse to pay for a transfer.
Many of them feel stuck and have voiced their opinions on the forums.
Just saying.

Is there some kind of addon that scans and reports total population across all zones? I am not outright discounting your statement, but I am a touch curious how you acquired those numbers.
There’s not a player on here that doesn’t travel to old zones or do old content for one reason or another. And I find it extremely unlikely that across all zones on 3 realms that there are only 80 people online, nearly half of which are bots.
Just use Realmpop.
People like to say “don’t use that because it requires players input to gauge population”
It’s the only thing we have though so that’s too bad >w<
I have a theory that they want the long list of server names because it makes them look more successful to people who won’t go digging for actual numbers. Like, if they shrunk it down to the number of servers they actually need, there’d be maybe 5.
Or it could be bunnies.

Realmpop would probably be ok for determining faction balance and class population percent. But it is an example of a population sample and would be inadequate for obtaining a raw figure such as overall population or active participation.
I could use an addon but when a connected realm group is this dead, all you need to do is this:
/who 1-110
/who 111-119
/who 120
There’s occasions that the botters are offline and I can go on and do a /who 1-120 and there will be less than 30 people online.
My server isn’t even the most dead. Here’s a /who I did on Skullcrusher on September 29th:

This is spot on. As OCE I need to transfer server and faction to have a large enough population so each character I want to play is $88. It shouldnt cost that much on top of my sub to play an mmo with other people
