Please bring back LFD

To use it as an example again, there’s the occasional thread in Destiny 2 about adding matchmaking to raids, which are the endgame PvE content as per usual; the main counterargument, something I agree with even without having run a single raid in D2, is that since most of it is heavily-mechanic-focused, having a bunch of blueberries running around like morons is going to make things harder than they already are. Essentially, the reason there’s usually no matchmaking for the top tier of content is because matchmaking means you can’t really control the people you get, so while you can have runs that sweep through everything like a perfect Zapdos murks a team of 6 Magikarp, you also have the chance of getting the Magikarps instead.

tl;dr: Randos are usually morons, so matchmaking would lead to much lower completion percentages.

And that’s a totally fair argument for content where it would actually matter, that content is not dungeons in WoW. With the possible exception of H+, but I don’t think anyone expects RDF for that.

Right Believe me I completely agree If anything the only other change I would say and just make the pool of people bigger would be like I said Make it cross server and cross faction.

I don’t care if my healer is a blood elf or a human And i’m pretty sure most people don’t care if their tank Is a torren or a Dwarf.

If the bigger that pool of people is to pull from the better that is you no And imagine they put that together with joyous journeys Bro.

Wrath This would be popping off I don’t care what anyone says there would be a lot of people that would come back.

Agreed. I’d be fine with them just leaving H+ as-is and having normal Heroics in Dungeon Finder like Mythic is with Retail. Even from the start that seemed like a good split: queueable dungeons for leveling, slightly-gatekept–by-ilevel-but-still-queueable Heroics for level cap mat farming/basic equipment gathering, and Mythics needing to be manually put together due to the extra difficulty and modifiers.

I mean the only problem I have at that is Mythic plus And heroic plus Really the same difficulty curved ?

I don’t know I really think You could be just fine with having heroic plus in rdf too you no or At the very least have it in the group finder and let it be cross realm.

So if it’s so important That you assemble that group for that At the very least you have a very big pool of people to pull From I just don’t think it’s necessary though.

Because I mean let’s be real 4 1 Minute heroic plus or whatever They call it in wrath is not Mythic plus in If dragonflight not even close in difficulty.

When ppl make comments like this it results in blizz actually believing it. It is the only reason we dont have rdf for mythics in retail.

My response is NO. The difficulty is from heroic to heroic plus is not that much and even if you think its a huge jump, it is still puggable. Ppl need to stop comprimising over this stuff there is no reason for it. There no reason mythic plus should not have rdf enabled and there is no reason heroic plus should not have rdf either.

Even the biggest reason of all for not having rdf is the social aspect and if you ever run mythics in retail, there is ZERO social interaction. zero.

Nobody needed to ask because it was only blizzards decision to add/not add it. However there is a version of a dungeon finder in wrath that not many acknowledge.

So really blizzard put in what was requested all through tbc its just not the right version.

Honestly, with how all content is centered strictly around end game only – I’d like to see RDF and JJ enabled for players up to level 77 or 78. Hell, you could even turn off JJ at 70 so they have to do more of the current content.

Either way, the amount of time it takes (even with leveling being easier in wrath than before) to get to play the actual game is unacceptable.

i dont see how people are gonna make it through cata w/o rdf lol

Wrong. it was Blizzards decision to have the final say on thats it. Blizz absolutely did not make classic because they were doing it on their own. it wasn’t their idea. They didn’t want to do it. They did it because ppl asked for it. So that is my response. Can’t believe i bit and am actually replying to such a silly comment. When ppl want change, YES they need to ask. When ppl don’t want change, They shouldn’t have to ask for the designer not to ruin something. Which is what the MAJORITY of players think they did. you couldn’t be further from the truth. The RDF that was in all expansions since wotlk is the RDF that people were asking for in TBC. just like they were asking for dual spec.
