Please Blizzard, Don’t Add Vulpera

X 10000

I need an Alpaca mount.

I only fear what vulpera added to the horde would do to the horde.

Better get out your pet vacuum 'cause there’s gonna be fox hair all over.

That’s going to be impossible to get out. It’s going to stick to our spikes like glue!

Vulpera are already playable… As fur coats!

Not sure if serious… don’t think I’ve seen a single mmo where a shorter race is ever even close to a majority pick. They are always in the low percentage.

So what? Also, you’re playing one, you hypocrite.

Make a new faction for meme elves, sylvanas fan service, and fox goblins.

Add ogres to the real Horde and we good to go.

Huh… I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that. Genuinely wonder why that is. Perhaps camera angles.

Agreed. But races like gnomes have never had the sheer demand that foxy fellas seem to have. There’s seems to be multiple posts about it daily.

fox goblins

These two words don’t belong in the same sentence. Two completely different things.

Look at humanity irl in general. People prefer taller people mostly. Heightism is an actual thing. Also did you know most politicians are pretty tall? Or when a shorter person achieves something, people start to accuse them of going all Napoleon where if somebody taller does the same thing they get applauded? Just a couple of examples there.

These mannerisms do in fact bleed into our own characters if even on a subconscious level I imagine.

Why? Worgen are cool. They’re vicious monsters, not furry bait.

I disagree i want them. As an option.

Worgen are vicious monsters. They are also 100% furries.

There is nothing wrong with being a furry.

Furries can be vicious monsters but let me repeat myself: There is nothing wrong with being a furry.

If you want to get technical Vulpera are more feral and primal than Worgen. They originally are a Fox race, Worgen orginaly were humans.

Accept this, and have more peace.

I can understand the sentiment.

If you are a “For the King” or whatever you Alliance folks say, you should be scared of Vulpera joining the Horde. Mainly because every cat loving Soccer Mom that would never think of joining the Horde will roll one.

Alliance players already think they are outnumbered. What happens when plucky furballs are added to the Horde? The only way to counter it would be to add some edgelord-worthy race to the Alliance. I don’t really see that out there.

The best thing to happen would be for Sylvanas to betray the Vulpera, send them running to the Alliance and create the one race that would restore balance to the Alliance-Horde imbalance. Again, I don’t see that happening, but you never know.

In FFXIV, the shortest race accounts for 18% of characters, whereas the tallest accounts for only 6%. The two shortest races account for 43% of characters, whereas the tallest two account for only 21%.

In other words, yes in some games shorter races are preferable to taller ones.

edit: I still don’t think everyone will flock to Vulpera, just contesting that smaller races always being the most unpopular isn’t a full fact.

As mentioned earlier by someone, statistically speaking Vulpera will not be a popular race due to their height.

I stand corrected.

Aside from people just generally thinking tall > short, abnormally short races like Gnomes, Goblins etc have an awkward time with armor appearances. Most models are so shrunk that it’s hard to see the cool details at a glance. Not so with “normal” sized races and bigger.
