Please allow PvP to PvE Transfers in Annni

Title says it all. I have chars I want to xfer off of Nightslayer to a PvE realm. This was allowed in every version of the game including vanilla. I understand the population balance issues but Blizzard used to respect that some players want to go from PvP to PvE for a reason. Now my time investment is stuck on a realm I don’t want to play on anymore.

When anni launched they made it extra clear that realm transfers wouldn’t be a thing. That’s why there’s popups warning you you’re about to create a toon on a pvp server. All I can say is sorry and reroll.

Name checks out.

Do you? I’m not saying that you don’t, but there’s no reason to even mention this in your plea, as it seems to be irrelevant to what you are asking for.

:woman_shrugging:

Big decision now, do you go through the dark portal at release and get griefed by a bunch of people of equal gear or wait a week and get griefed by a couple sweaty 70s.

Agreed, let us transfer to PVE for TBC there is no world PVP that matters in TBC anyway.

Yeah because someone was going to start railing about population server locks and I get it. Let’s skip that part. That’s why it was in my post.

Don’t worry they are going to add Warmode. So every server will be Pve unless you want it to be PvP.

They allowed this in ERA realms and then removed it, now my naxx BiS holy paly is STUCK on whitemane…

Was told to kick rocks in support tickets and now have to restart in mankrik again… All over again man… Rip 3500 hours.

Im not playing on whitemane to get dumpstered everytime I exit a safe zone.

Just relevel stop being lazy

I’m genuinely not sure we can, because that would be the absolute best reason not to have transfers off. Once some people start moving off, things tend to snowball, and it’s a large part of the reason why Classic 2019 PvP servers ended up being being single faction. People perceived a faction advantage and so they bailed for either a PvE server, or for a PvP server that they felt favoured their faction. Others followed suit and pretty soon you have single faction servers.

Now a couple things…

  1. This scenario could still play out now if people just reroll. However, it’s a lot less likely. There’s no stakes for a transfer off, you can just go and you keep everything. So players who feel even slightly miffed can just bail. Without transfers, you have to reroll your character, which folks are only gonna do if they’re really not having a good time.
  2. On Anniversary, there’s no other PvP server to go to. Folks could still bail and you could end up with single faction, but it’s somewhat mitigated by new players only being able to roll on the opposite faction.

Still, PvP server faction balance is such a tricky thing that it definitely makes sense for transfers to be off.

So then, as was pointed out…

Why did you choose to roll on a PvP server anyway? Furthermore, what’s stopping you from rerolling? There’s plenty of time to get a character up to 60 on the PvE server and to get geared up enough to head into AQ40/Naxx. If nothing else, ride things out on PvP for the duration of the Vanilla phase and then flip over to PvE for TBC when everything resets anyway and the xp curve gets compressed.

I am re leveling…

Point is it shouldnt have been a thing or happened in the first place. They had character transfers open on the store with a cooldown on the same character of 180 days.

Mid cooldown period on my main char to come back to mankrik the service was removed without appeal or compensation.

Tickets were closed when I asked them to kindly return my character to its home and where it was created. It was promtly closed with a big fat NO.

Like bruh why was the service there in the first place then and to add WHY was it allowed to transfer a character to and from a PvP server to a PVE one?
