I play with RL friends that haven’t played the game since Panda whom don’t play arena. I’m trying to get them into it. If you don’t remember when you were noob, you have to spam arena games and lose to get better. I get to 1800 for cap with randoms and then que with friends. I lose at 1450mmr with these friends as Fire btw. They rolled new classes/specs, don’t even know what half their spells do and find new spell interactions all the time. They’re the reason I’m back in this game and there’s no point playing otherwise.
I’ve been 2.2k+ several times as well. It’s nothing to be proud of. I’ll try to get a team together in the next few days and see how high I can push as frost. Let’s test these stats from a player that hasn’t played since S1 BFA (me). Fire is stronger in burst comps, why would anyone play frost with the advent of rets/rogues/ww monks? The strongest comps don’t suit the frostmage playstyle. Insult my intellegence all you want. I’ll try to be an outlier while you sit here crying.
Dude your raiderio is 265, you haven’t even cleared normal nathria and you’re hardstuck at challenger, why are you trying to speak with such authority on this issue? I mean damn I’m no elite mage but even casually playing I’ve achieved more in a few weeks
I’ve done one M+ in 2 weeks and pugged Nathria once to see what the bosses were like… I’m not the one here pulling out numbers. I’m only disagreeing with people saying Frost is “Unplayable” in arena. We’ll see about hardstuck challenger.
So what you’re saying is you essentially haven’t played the expansion at all and yet here you are being the authoritative voice on what’s what, interesting
Regarding being hardstuck, you’re challenger after 200 games played in both brackets, you are hardstuck
I play WoW because I enjoy Arena. When did games played become the value for whether or not someone is hardstuck? I have good player friends and bad player friends. I’ve won at 2kmmr and I’ve lost at 1450mmr. I play with both because I enjoy arena and they’re my friends. I log in, do my weeklies and Arena with friends when I have time. That’s it.
Are you here just to try to discredit people’s opinions or what? You haven’t outlined your experience in arena and are posting on an alt. I’ve outlined my experience and elaborated. Please.
I’m here to discredit your opinion, yes, stop talking about the state of the expansion until you’ve played it. You’ve got 200 games played, are stuck at challenger, have rival as your highest ever title and likely haven’t been above 2200 in 8 years. Regardless though, I really don’t care about what you’ve done in the past, I just see what you’ve done now and it amounts to what your opinion is worth - nothing
Also this is not an alt, this has been my main since legion, I’ve also never been involved in pvp on my mage and yet I got challenger in a few hours of casual queuing with friends so I’m not sure why you can’t at least get back to rival

I’m not shutting down your opinion for you, I’m shutting down your opinion for other people who are reading and might mistake what it is you’re typing for something with any semblance of value
Go play the expansion for a bit, actually clear the raid on normal or do some higher mythics or something, then come back with a more informed opinion
I haven’t said anything about PvE and I agree Frost is miserable there and needs work. Once again, only talking about Arena, where I spend 99% of my time and reiterating my experience of the Expansion.
Go gatekeep information and opinions elsewhere. The fact that it can be played at a high level if you get good enough means it’s a “git good issue”. Never said I was good.
So the world first mythic race is now ended, maybe we will see something, but then again it was a holiday week followed by new years so i wont give my hopes up. Already starting to save my ash for a fire legendary instead of the single target ice one, even with high crit which is fires lowest simming stat it sims higher then frost for single target for me on venthir still using an ice conduit.
I switched covenants and went fire. It only took me about a week to catch up and craft my legendary, which I was lucky enough to get the pattern for.
I was excited to try Frost this tier, but it just isn’t in the cards. Considering the last thing Frost got was a nerf, I think it’s safe to say this is as good as Frost will ever get.
