Please add a CD reset feature to training dummy areas

Good idea!

I always thought it could be something like a solo queue scenario. Instead of just having dummies all over the world, have a way to “zone in” to a consistent dummy environment. Right now the available dummies are very inconsistent throughout the training areas (it’s often unfortunate that the “single target” dummies are so close together you unintentionally cleave in several of the areas, and others don’t have true AoE, just “4 dummies kinda close”).

Throw in an action bar with all the raid buffs or an NPC to interact with. When testing on a class without Bloodlust now, if you have a rotational change at that level of haste, you have to find someone with Bloodlust to hang with you through X many tests with a massive cd between.

Just let me pop into some Matrix scenario that has 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 dummy packs around the room and an action bar that lets me buff up and Cold Snap my CDs to start a test again. That’d be great! Make it like a Temple of the White Tiger theme if you need a storyline for its existence.

Interesting idea!

I think it would make sense that you could only que if you were out of combat in a rested area, because I could see an instant que whenever to be easily abused

The problem is, people would somehow find a way to abuse this. Then we end up with a warlock with an 2mil absorb that no one can break because their hots are still actively going on a training dummy. (Yes this happened not that long ago).
You’d have to create an ‘instanced’ training ground so you can’t carry it outside of the area or abuse it to safe zone in wpvp.

I mean, you could make the queue process by talking to an NPC in a city or through a portal like a Runecarver-esque phase in and out for all I care. I don’t have to be able to “teleport” to that instance from anywhere in the world. Then, just make it so what happens in the instance stays in the instance, like you can’t buff up and take back off into the world to try to wreck something, ha.

NPC in Capitals and Hub cities would be all you need.

The Horde talk to a tauren named Moo-pheus to enter the simulation. I mean, this stuff writes itself.

This is honestly the reason it needs to happen more than anything else.

This is a great idea, and should be fairly easy to implement imo since raid bosses already have a similar mechanic for wipes and boss resets.

Right! Same thing as entering arenas or bgs too

Big ole shrug from me amigo!

Cooldowns reset if the target dummy kills you.

(I think)
