Why does a good majority of the PvP community play what’s flavor of the month? Then complain about the meta. If everyone played what they like then the meta wouldn’t be so bad. I understand from a tourney standpoint that if you want to be competitive that you “have” to play what’s good at the time.
I’m sure 90% of the Rets and Arms players haven’t always been Ret or Arms players.
It’s because they want to be competitive, and some classes allow them to get way better results with much less effort. Of course some one tricks will still be able to climb very high because they’re just way better than everyone else (ie Chanimal, Dillon, Jellybeans, etc.)
Let’s take for example a Venthyr warr. If he just sits D stance and runs Death Sentence, he can climb to 1800+ in 2s and maybe 3s very easily. It’s also pairs well with literally every class.
Now let’s take a look at demo locks.
There’s just nothing to say honestly about them.
When you don’t have friends / consistent partners who don’t care what you play / viable. I think a lot of people reroll to make their life easier in LFG.
Kind of like before cross-realm arenas, I never got a single queue on my rogue and was forced to play my alt mage if i ever wanted to queue lol. Dead server & everyone you know is a rogue or priest life type thing.
Honestly as much as i love ww in the past something about it i just dont like it this xpac. So im not gonna play it. Tryna find an alt i will enjoy
I just don’t understand why everyone who plays fotm complain about the meta because they are hardstuck 1800 on a meta class. Fotm players are the reason this game isn’t that enjoyable
Yeh sure play what you like if you enjoy getting declined from lfg groups and being at a huge disadvantage.
Well if people played what they like instead of fotm then that wouldn’t be much of a problem
People have played meta since day 1 of wow dude.
Fotm just gets boring cuz at that point im just playing it becuz its op, but if i dont enjoy it, what happens when it gets nerfed? Stick with something i hate? or gear up all over again on the next thing??? Problem is classes i liked in the past have changed so much, idk if i even like them anymore. And u gotta be max lvl to rlly play em
I think they’re part of the reason. But as to people complaining about reasons they can’t hit 1800, it’s kind of a pick your poison. There’s no limit to the excuses / reasons.
I personally only play 4 classes shaman, druid, monk and hunter. I never choose what’s trending. I hate playing what everyone and their mother queues with. I rotate from one to another when it gets stale.
Bingo, I would like to play my Warlock but I feel like I’m playing amazing on my Lock to the point where there is moments when I can’t do anything else but I’m stuck around 2k. So instead of stressing myself out trying to make it work when it clearly doesn’t so I’m playing Boomie and Ele, which I’m over 2200+ on both and have never played either before this season. I complain because skill isn’t rewarded in the current meta. FoTMing easy specs is.
Playing my Lock is a liability to my partners. I feel bad playing something that is much much weaker, Lock brings nothing to the table that is useful in this meta. I play Affliction and Destro, both feel terrible.
cause people think climbing rated arena using 1 shot mechanics makes them gods or something
