Players Cheesing the New Changes for 100% Bloodlust/CDs on Trash

There are some posts being made about players testing this on the retail client. They send a hunter to the nearest boss and have that player sit there and shoot the boss and Feign Death repeatedly.

This in return resets the cooldowns/bloodlust/sated of the entire raid while they clear trash packs giving them a basically permanent Bloodlust and all other DPS cooldowns on all trash in the raid instance.

Not only that, but this will also require one player to have to sit out basically all of the raid just to pull a boss for everyone else every couple of minutes so that they all can clear the raid faster without them. Plus this also affects other longer and meaningful cooldowns as well - as an example, warriors aren’t supposed to have Recklessness on a 2 min CD for every single boss or trash pack (it has a 30 min CD for a reason).

If this is how the changed behavior will work in WOTLK classic and if you don’t think this will become the norm and expected of a player within the raid, then you clearly don’t know classic players. If they can get permanent bloodlust and all cooldowns on trash packs, or can save just 1 minute overall on the raid, they will do whatever it takes to get that.

I am FOR the changes to Bloodlust/Heroism on BOSSES and not having to wait 8 mins of every legit WIPE, but this and potentially other longer CDs should be looked at a lot closer and paid attention to. Please consider acting on this sooner rather than later (as in pls don’t wait to address it until 2 months before the end of the next expansion like boosting). It will be cheesed and abused.

1 Troll low level Retail talking in classic forums.
2 The majority of Wrath raids have little to none trash at all so this wont have a point.
3. If you think people will care about resetting a boss to kill trash that takes 10-20 minutes faster then you’ll be wrong, outside of these random streamers most guilds simply wont care with the hassle.

Warriors in wrath are horrible dps till later on so you wont ever really bring them really unlike classic/tbc where they were kings of dps. If you think guilds will waste time doing these reset strats just so 1-2 people will get their reck and do more damage on trash then you need a reality check

5 lastly this isnt a game breaking thing and has been done for years and is perfectly fine. If you are so mad that people will have fun in their own way and not what you say is fun that you should just quit the game. Guilds that are struggling wont be able to kill bosses without lust and hurting the majority of the playerbase so you sure people will have fun your way then sure.

warrior reck cd isnt 30min in wotlk

Who cares? It’s trash.

Back in the day a blizzard GM would port into people like this raids and start deleted their items while handing out 1 week bans. That was before the dark times came, that was before activision.

Except Recklessness was changed to a 5min CD in Wrath.

Hell with talents, it’s CD is 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

It’s trash. Who cares…How sad are you to be so cringe?

Blizz already knows about this and is going to fix it so it behaves like Retail. y’all are delusional if you think they’re gonna let the “reset Hunter” exist.

It is just an example and is actually irrelevant that it doesn’t apply to recklessness because it also applies to every other cooldown as well and will be abused for those along with it not just being used on trash. Players are going to be using double cooldowns on bosses like spirit wolves and gargoyles, etc. You just use them, reset boss, and the CD resets with the pets from the talent/CD still active. This will be used in all aspects of raiding that it can to get an advantage

It is fine if it is resetting the cooldowns on legitimate wipes, but it will not be used only for this reason and Blizzard needs to keep a close eye on these interactions that come from this QOL change because they will have a significant effect on raiding if left unchecked. It won’t just be used exclusively for extra CDs on trash

To say nothing of how recklessness was nerfed into the ground

I’m definitely against cheese when its truly abusive but its just trash. To me it sounds like you haven’t played Wrath either. Majority of the raids have very minimal trash to encounter per boss. Naxx and Ulduar have the “most”

Andycloud pops up every now and then.
Dude went into witness protection for a year lmao.

You’re like that forum guy that tries to derail every thread

Dunno why you’re calling him a snitcher. It’s an exploit and should be fixed like every exploit.

Just because it benefit the players (like every exploit) doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fix lol.

It 100% should be fixed to require getting on the bosses threat table before it will reset your stuff. Easy fix and probably coming, don’t count on this strat.

This right here. When blizz automated customer service the game just got worse and worse player wise. I see this in alot of games … the few toxic ruin it for the whole.

feel like most guilds and pugs wont take the time to reset lust/hero for every trash pack

now using on certain trash and resetting it for bosses i can see being done
