At this point, no Although if anything, ironically enough — The Darkspear trolls might hold contention against it, since we saw in TBC quests they’re not exactly on good terms …
However, the Zandalari now have an equal voice in the Horde and given the Amani are neighbours of Quel’Thalas and have had a … difficult history with them → Making peace and joining their strength & vice-versa to the Horde under the Amani’s new leadership would be for the benefit of all.
Plus the Revantusk have been allied with the Horde for how long now? I’d argue some Blood Elves of the Horde have had decent experiences with them by now. You combine that with the Amani holding new leadership, seeking to restore the better parts of their people’s society, hold a treaty with the elves and the Horde at large — holding eachother accountable for both their actions AND the benefits they each bring to the table? Recipe for a desired union.
Ultimately:
You could pitch it off as the Amani joining the Horde to being a far more greater benefit to the Sin’dorei than they realised, humbling them with the resourcefulness and strength they provide — with the Sin’dorei providing the Amani with stability to maximize it all.
Present the writing like that, as opposed to some virtue-signaling nonsense – and the story will flow coherently with them joining the Horde and the playerbase being mostly at ease with it all.
Due to how Blizzard is currently developing new races, if Amani do happen, they would likely be neutral. Maybe if they can slap together Vrkyul for ally-only for Last Titan we can avoid such a mess.
I would rather that change way races work and introduce sub races for existing races. Rework all the current races so they are all sub races of a current race.
Blizzard will never do that though as they want the cash from all those race changes.
Tell me you know nothing about game development without telling me.
The amount of work that goes into the races we have is, frankly, insane, and they are constantly trying to improve. It might seem trivial on your end, but it’s not trivial on theirs.
Whenever someone calls a game dev lazy, it annoys me, as someone who studied game dev and what goes into it. They’d make more money and have an easier workload if they jumped into software development or IT. But instead they’re here, working for less pay, often for longer hours, doing harder work, and you’re going to call them lazy because a race doesn’t meet your standards? Naaah.
As oppose to the faction of the race that genocided them and took their land? Like in the grand scheme of unforgivable stuff pretty sure the Silvermoon elves trump the Stromgarde humans.
Ultimately both factions will be working with them next expansion. Sounds like reason for opinions to change.
The Silvermoon blood elves have had multiple opportunities to commit genocide against the Amani, and they did not. Not in ZA1, or ZA2. Also. Trollbanes. Furthermore, if the Man’ari and the Draenei can get along.. no reason for the Blood Elves and Amani not to.
Oh no you don’t. You literally used the Eredar/Draenei reuinion as justification when the Penetant are literally the ones who commited those attrocities.
Yes, it literally can. Depending on how much customization Blizzard gives to the Amani they will likely make them a neutral allied race.
They already gave the allies our elves (and pointy ears on basically anything with ears now) they mine as well give them trolls. Only reason they won’t is because they aren’t pretty enough.
You dont need to bootlick blizzard just because you work on the field, you arent going to get hired for it
Bullcrap, they have time and money to work on it just fine
In BFA we got MORE playable races for BOTH factions on top having two different stoylines for both horde and alliance
We are getting FAR LESS playable races and they cant even muster one for each faction anymore and they cant do a separate stoyline anymore
They are cutting stuff left and right and you dont want me call them lazy because despite making more money they dont keep up with past development? shut up
High elf is already playable in both factions, yall weirdos can stop derailing another thread
And there it is, the default response from people who don’t know what they’re talking about.
Immediately call the person a bootlicker because they didn’t agree with your extremely bad take.
Again, tell me you know nothing about game development without telling me. Especially with respect to the ‘money’ part. The amount of money that Blizzard makes from us is not treated the same way you treat your bank account. The teams at Blizzard can’t just dip their hand in and pull out another hundred grand for a new thing. Everything that is made in WoW is made according to the budget the game has, and getting more money for the budget requires signing off from people further up the food chain than where the developers sit.
So if they want more staff but the budget doesn’t allow for it? Well, no new staff get hired. If they want to deviate and do a new side project that requires additional work, but that additional work would result in an increase to the budget, then that new side project doesn’t get completed unless the developers choose to do so on their own time.
So no, Blizzard does not ‘have the money’ to just do whatever they want. If they treated revenue/profits the same way you treat your bank account, they would, but they don’t.
And there it is, the default reponse from people who bootlick a multimillion dollar company
they immediately say the person dont know waht they are talking about.
They did before, what stopping then now?
They are getting MORE money with MORE subs than in BFA and had the same time to do both expansions.
What changed mr “developer”? can you tell where the money is going? how they are using their time?
how come they could do before, but cant do now??
If the “budget” somehow isnt allowing NOW, them, again, it only proves my point, they are lazy and wasting money in other crap.
Maybe you dont have it, or whatever the company hired you dont, but saying ACtivision/Blizzard, a juggernaut of company, dont have money to do two races for each faction - when they were able to do so before many times just fine - is being completely insane and a bootlicker.
