Play with More Friends with Cross-Faction Guilds

So… not true cross faction guilds?

Might as well just make a b-net community lol.

you aren’t wrong…I just don’t like it lol

I was really excited to get my main back to a Night Elf and still stay in my Horde guild but this is a glorified cross-faction community with guild repairs and a tag above your head =\ I didn’t know what to expect and had an open mind but this ain’t it. I hope they’ll remove more restrictions and make it more like same-faction guilds so no one holds the group back from achievements or feels like an outsider.

Like I said, neither did I. Then reconnecting with some people who were among the first people I ever raided with changed my mind real damn quick. So I want the best of both worlds.

The world will be boring and bland without conflict, but I’m willing to see where this can add to the drama rather than take from it. If it is just good versus bad, that isn’t a complicated story. I want the sort of stories that came out of WCIII and existed in vanilla. Where there is no real good or bad guy faction. There are just fundamental irreconcilable differences, and how do societies like that co-exist? The writers will have to step up their game, but if the Blizzard of 2002 can do it, hopefully the Blizzard of 2023 can figure it out too.

Why there are so many limitations?!

I hope this is just a first iteration to see “how it goes” and then it will be expanded upon in the following patches.

Opposite-faction guildmates can only play communally inside instances; they’ll still be considered Unfriendly to each other (or Hostile in War Mode) in the outdoor world.

This needs more work I don’t like this at all, I feel like if I’m in a guild with Horde or Ally players I should be able to join up with them in groups in the outdoor world etc…so we need to find a way that being in a guild can toggle something to make this happen.

To expand upon this more, my guild for example puts on a ton of custom events and other such things in the open world and it would be nice ALL the guild can participate instead of just one group because of some unnecessary divide being left in place.

No. This is wrong. We need an option to merge guilds. We have two guilds, and transferring hundreds of characters from one guild to another by only one or two people will be excruciating.

I am holding off paying for a race change until I can open-world quest with my Alliance friends. Till then I stay Alliance and hope one day to be able to rejoin the Horde like I was at the beginning. I want to do timewalking with them and PVP with my guild. I will just wait and hope and pay when that’s available! good start Blizz, now just keep up the momentum. Let us truly be equal!

Why? The community option should allow you to add eveyone who joins a “invite” community to the guild, its basically just guild finder with a different step.

Hmmm. I feel like the community would have probably been just fine waiting until this was implemented correctly.

I would imagine so, since it’s technically a new character.

Am I to understand that if I turn my druid into a night elf (as she was before I moved her to join a horde guild with a fellow ex-guildy), I won’t be in that guild anymore and I can’t reapply in the guild finder?

Lame.

Which would also mean having to re-earn guild reputation

how about 1 weekend of free Race changes and why not let use server xfer too i have a few friends who went back to storage ally after leaving area 52 horde so tired of leveling lol

I can see how this would be shocking, but with the mention of community, that just means your Guild Master has to be in the same community as you, and more often than not I’ve seen them just be extensions of guild chat. Mostly to keep in touch if you’re playing characters on another server.

thats literaly what guild need to be, Make commuinites work the way guilds do now but with Xfaction. and make guilds like they were back in cata with perks otherwise with all these changes you really dont need a guild anymore unless your mythic raiding before the hall of fame closes

There is only one Horde… A horde of friends!

You mean with more steps. Many, many more steps. Adding each individual character to the guild will be tedious.

Won what? Faction imbalance? Yeah its evident. But horde lost BFA wars as well as other past wars.
