I mean, we live in a society where many people are anxious and addicted to “instant gratification” all the time. If something takes more than a few moments to happen, these people quickly get frustrated or bored…
And this mentality doesn’t fit well with MMORPGs where you must take your time to do things.
(Note: I’m not talking about you, reader, but generalizing so chill out.)
These should never go in the same sentence. But even then, that’s probably what I’ll end up doing, or just not playing. I’ve already played a lot less than usual the last few days.
I’m really enjoying all the solo content, there’s still more for me to do, but heroics being the most difficult group content is bad at best. They leaned too heavily into the solo experience imo. I enjoy the game the most playing with my friends and we can only run heroic dungeons so many times before we are tired of pressing W.
Im still working on the side quests and other stuff…lol.
I wouldnt want to deprive those who have nothing else to do for whatever reason, but they DO need to find back up games to play when they run out of content instead of complaining about it.
Fact is this is a GAME…it was NEVER intended to replace a human life.
People will defend the most minimal amount of content like they expect a pat on the head and some in-game benefits.
Further proves that online gaming is a large factor in why games are trickling out generic crap. If a company releases a single player campaign game, it is loaded and full of things to do. Online game? A small amount of quick content that is just enough to keep you waiting in order to milk you.
Then we have customers of the product telling other customers to go play/do something else. This is always a winning strategy! /s
