Just experienced this myself as well. Seemed to get sharded/layered while the seed was growing. Fortunately a minute or two later the seed dreamseed cache did show up.
Edit: literally happened to me again again 25 minutes later…

Happened to me today, but I got the rewards in my mail a few minutes later. I think it was a phasing issue because I’d just finished Hibernation Heroes and left the group.
