Placement games & Duo Q

Playing with friends is always a million times better and it’s unfortunate that people muddy the water by boosting people. I too hope they find a solution for everyone

What if you’re entirely new to the mode and play a spec with a lesser impact on outcome. I can follow directions but just because someone yells stuff doesn’t mean they know what they’re doing.

if you’re completely new to something I recommend watching someone play the mode to better understand it. You only hurt yourself and your team going blind into a competitive rated setting. Knowledge is power

I wouldn’t say I went in blind, but rated isn’t a thing I need to chase in wow. The voidsliver thing was the only reason I tried it out.

The more I see people complain about blitz it seems they just don’t want casuals to play at all, even if people just want to play and don’t care about rating. Strange since blitz is supposed to be a more casual approach overall.

Wanted to add I do agree with you about duo queuing. Shouldn’t have been in the mode. But it won’t change now.

The placement system is funny. In tww s2, my dk won his first 9 games in a row, but his mmr was only at 2200 after all those wins. Then a single loss tanked him all the way down to 1800 mmr. I guess the placement mechanism has some hidden logic I don’t know about, because it feels kinda generous to my ret and hunter, but my dk just gets absolutely no love.

Not the case at all. The issue is the placement games system forcing you to play @ 1600 MMR because of one loss. You can have 9 straight wins and lose one game and you are in the TRENCHES! Most find grouping with a good healer an easy remedy to escaping “mmr hell” but it only makes the balance of blitz more of an issue with duo qs.
