Earthbind is another solid totem. Dropping one in the path of whoever is kiting adds will be much appreciated.
Yeah it is, earthbind love here.
Shaman is litterally a b tier healing spec. The only people who will play it r the people who think “utility” is fun when in reality you heal and hit like a wet noodle and r just another class trying to get a raid slot. Priest people will beg you to come and ull be the first to get gear
Priests can’t equip leather. So you might wanna be an enchanter as well so you can disenchant the gear that goes to waste.
Oh, and you’ll miss that sweet mana tide and innervate since no one wants shaman or druids…
Better level alchemy too so you can make mana potions to chug.
That’s exactly what we’ll do, because it’s better than wasting a raid slot on a terrible class. And does anyone want to even play a class so they can provide one buff for a raid and then be a potato that’s compeltely useless? kek
Shaman ARE the horde. Although they are the counterbalance to the Alliance Paladin, they are not equal in there importance to their factions.
I am not saying that paladins are weak or anything.
I don’t think that it is possible for the horde to have too many shaman.
Alliance don’t even have shaman so why are you arguing? Go bubble hearth or something.
Shamelessly plugging my thread since it’s somewhat relevant:
You may need to find out what kind of healing power to expect for each class at specific milestones if you intend to use it to compare them, though.
I believe in general Priest is always a safe bet for healer, personally going Druid here.
HORDE CANT HANDLE THE PALADIN OF HARD TRUTHS
God it must be so awful to be on the horde and get paladin instead of shaman. Let me tell you something, the best part of Vanilla - and I’m not kidding, is watching you bumbling horde idiots not be able to play Paladin again
Paladin is a class for the best wow players. the rightous. top tier tanks
paladin is a pro gamer move. Shaman is what happens when a child logs in for the first time and clicks the wrong button
This is literally going to be the best. Horde gets broken shaman and can’t play paladin. Lets the tears commence. Lets the rivers of salt flow.
I AM THE SUN. SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND
Shaman bring us that sweet, sweet windfury.
Yes please, best hunter totem IMO.
Yep the old “Play what you enjoy.” does not apply to classic if you want to raid. What if you enjoy a fire mage and want to do Molten Core?
Healer wise Paladin was always pretty solid albeit a little bit on the two button side at times. Priest was always top healer in Vanilla and generally had a few more spells to use. I can’t even recall a druid healing in Vanilla…
Play what you want to play always applies, and there are always raid spots for people not min-maxing, in 40 man raids.
all you young folks screeching about min-maxing in a 15 year old game? you hurt my soul.
Sit down. Calm down. There are no world firsts, there are no server firsts. there is no new content. We’re here to replay a story we love.
Shamans will have the last laugh when we purge every paladin buff you can think of and make you waste that blessing of freedom.
With 40 man raids, the biggest challenge is finding warm bodies to fill spots. I think people are stressing a bit too much on min/maxxing for a raid spot.
Its true priests are super strong, but shaman and druids are great raid healers too. I raided in vanilla and we had this resto druid that was ALWAYS top of healing charts. All she did was blanket the raid with rank 3 rejuv and we hated her for playing such a cheese style, but had to admit heals were awesome. Also, Shaman are the only class with an aoe heal that can heal outside their group. It was also the only smart heal in the game. A super geared shaman with a ton of +healing and downrank chain heal is crazy strong… and thats without totems.
I cant speak to paladins thougg. I remember a friends guild made 2 holy pallies stay out of combat and not heal. Their job was just to rez dead people and buff them without going into combat lol. …also, youd have to play alliance which is sad.
The point is there are more options besides priest.
If your aliance go dawrf priest you get picked EVERY TIME
I did anage to snag the name lightrot for an undead priest lol
All have very different playstyles. Pick one that appeals to you.
I’m going holy priest, but healers tend to be in demand in general, so pick your favorite.
It wasn’t the healing that made dwarves best, it was the only way to combat fear on alliance side in Vanilla, with Fear Ward. Horde had shaman with their anti-fear totem and fear is a really big deal in some fights.
Healing output is skill and awareness, and between NE and dwarves I don’t think there is a racial difference in that output.
