As a resto druid, when I’m using Circle of Life and Death, my HOTs are 15% faster, as it would be expected (my rejuvenation buff starts at 12 seconds instead of 14). However, when I’m using the photosynthesis talent (without Circle legendary), with lifebloom on myself, my HOTs still take the same total time to complete (my rejuvenation takes 14 seconds, as if I don’t have any speed buff). Is that right? From the talent’s description, I would think my HOTs would be 20% faster, ending 20% earlier (as occurs with Circle of Life and Death)
Circle of Life and Death reduces the HoT tick intervals, AND the duration.
Photo reduces the HoT tick intervals, NOT the duration.
Photo increases the effective healing per hot cast.
Circle gives 0 increase in effective healing per hot cast.
Example: 2500 rejuv per cast over 15s.
Photo => 3125 rejuv per cast over 15s.
Circle => 2500 rejuv per cast over 12.75s.
You can look at it like, instead of boosting your hot healing like Photo. Circle instead lowers the “cooldown” on your hot per target letting you get the value of them more often.
Photosynthesis effectively gives your HoTs 20% haste. Same duration, they just tick more often.
Also respec for flourish bc it saves lives. Photo doesn’t
This is nonsense. The reason you spec flourish is so you can use it for prideful and save your convoke for damage.
