The unlock for the Conflict and Strife Essence needs to be altered with 8.3. This achievement (Rank 4 with all 8.2 Essences for a single spec) has a few challenging aspects, such as the Hard Mode of Mechagon, and the Mythic Azshara kill. However, these are no longer current content. While these are still challenging feats, they are much easier to do with the release of the new raid tier and dungeons scaling up. Additionally, they will become easier to do as the expansion continues, because the average gear level will rise, and it will be easier to find groups strong enough to complete these tasks.
Conflict and Strife is the exact opposite of this. This essence requires you to hit Elite rating, the highest rating based on your Rated PvP score. This, unlike the other essences required for this achievement, has not become easier with the release of the new raid tier. If anything, it has become harder since you now have to contend with the corruption mechanic in order to PvP effectively, and, because of that, there is an influx of people driving down their rating in order to win Arena matches quickly to farm Echoes of Ny’alotha. Additionally, unlike PvE content, the average rating increases, as well as gear level, making it harder to gain rating as the expansion continues. These factors all lead to a much more difficult time unlocking this essence, despite the fact that all other essences either became easier, in the case of the higher-tier challenges, or they were already low-level content or AP/Reputation grinds.
In order to bring Conflict and Strife on par with the other essences required for this achievement, the rating to obtain it should be reduced, or the achievement should be reworked such that rank 3 of Conflict and Strife will suffice, allowing it to be obtained through a grind at lower PvP ranking, making it more in line with the Azerite Expedition essences being a grind of Island Expedition weeklies without taking anything away from the higher level PvP players.
