Was the time line they posted for the year not clear enough?
I mean, it’s pretty clear it was going to be in April after Hardcore SFM, especially when they announced the xp buff to be “mid phase 2”

8 week cadence with extra two weeks during P1 due to the holidays.

It’s coming out soon because the game only has 7 more months, and still has three phases to go through. Expect phase 3/4 to only last two months too and 5th phase 3 months. It’s not a perm game. It’ll be taken down at the end of 12 months, they may give us a few servers on classic era, but they wont be working on it anymore.

Yes, there are some players that are lagging behind. You also have to understand there are a lot of players that are just unsubscribing from the game because of how fast they are clearing the content and have nothing left to do. I don’t blame Blizzard for looking at releasing the next phase. I personally thought phase 1 was dreadfully long. With it only taking less than a week to hit make level and then to clear all content in the first week doesn’t make a game very fun to play. Highly recommend coming up with ideas to suggest to Blizzard to maintain player retention as well as extend the duration of a phase. Just doesn’t seem plausible to achieve both with what they currently have set up in phase 2. There is next to nothing to do.
They can unsubscribe then. Stop playing the game like a job and go get a job.

From my point of view, SOD is now in the same state as SOM, it´s for the 1% that rush through content while everyone else is left behind.
I do not understand the decision making here, maybe they want SOD to be done with when War Within hits after summer, but my god, this rush to 60 is just terrible for people with a life.
I am not even done with P2 and now it´s already P3?

You had 2 months to go from 25 to 40 and 4 months from 0 to 40, if you didn’t have time to play, it’s all on you.

Despite OP low-key trying to gaslight every conversation into being about GDKP…
Pushing phase 2 out on 4-4 to compete with PoE season launch is a horrible decision. Blizzard has shown repeatedly via Diablo 4 seasons that the average player will not abandon a PoE launch for Blizzard games. The first ~3 weeks of SoD is going be incredibly anemic while people play PoE.
Whoever made that call did not think it through very well.
How often do you play?
My guild has already talked about it. The gearing is making it increasingly difficult to keep leveling alts to the new cap. Most of us are doing one, maybe 2.
Gnomer is barely fun as a relevant raid, it’ll be horrible as a leveling raid without significant nerfs to menagerie and thermaplugg
I agree, having it as a leveling raid is going to be frustrating and I’ll likely not do it. Which is a shame. I was running BFD every lockout on my alts. All through phase 1 I had 1 PuG not make it past Kelris. I’ve had several gnomer PuGs not make it past Managerie. It’s not an overly difficult fight, but PuGs will be PuGs.

While it may be an unpopular opinion with the players who max leveled in 24 hours for Phase 2, I agree that this is too quick. Even if Phase 3 was just a few weeks away it would be much better. I imagine I am not the only person playing SOD as someone who played classic when it was live for the first time ever, which means there is probably a decent population of players who are only capable of casual commitment. I am in no way saying we should be catered to, I am only suggesting that a little more notice couldn’t have been damaging enough to the hardcore players/streamers that it would have made them turn away, but it would have given everyone else just a little bit of time to plan.
is this a troll thread? I have 4 characters leveled and mostly geared from gnomergan and work a very time consuming 40+ hour job… so time is certainly not the issue.

What’s up with all these noobs? Y’all probably smoking to much If y’all aint 40 yet. Folks have full time work, wife, kids and a house to maintain and still manage to get plenty of toons to 40. Sounds like lazy liberals that would complain.
Stop getting high and wasted everyday and use the time somewhat efficiently lol.
