The person is, and should be toxic if he or she is trying to wipe out a beloved version of a game that millions have found for many years for and love due to a selfish need.
What that person did was justifiably toxic so I don’t see the issue here.

I for one am going to test the waters tonight and tomorrow. Then my subscription is up for renewal. If its too bad, I will just stop paying until battle grounds come out and take some of the pressure off.

I’m guessing most will return during phase 3 since phase 2 offers almost nothing but benefit for the dominant faction who will in turn log out themselves when they can’t find anyone to kill

When you let people make all the decisions they want things will sort themselves out over time. I really don’t want Blizzard to force any balance. Provide the options necessary for balance but let players sort things out.

I don’t know why people are still making threads about this kinda stuff. I don’t feel like dealing with ganking or being overwhelmed on a regular basis by the opposing faction. So what did I do? I rolled PVE. Sure sometimes I wish I could slap an alliance member right in the face. But I am overwhelmingly less likely to have that feeling than to want to break my computer from being chain ganked
It never ceases to amaze me how people post as if PvP servers are the only servers in existence. I am on an ally dominated server (like the maiority of PvE servers). I consent to PvP. Faction balance doesn’t affect my gameplay. Classic isn’t going anywhere just because you ganking clowns can never reroll or join the minority faction.
Paid transfers from PVP to PVE will help address this. I may start a thread on this! (Just kidding, i think there are a few 100 already)

First off, I am Yleyana. I have changed my avatar to make a point.
Everyone has a retail avatar, everyone.
People post on whatever avatar they want to. Simply because they are posting in the Classic forums does not mean they are required to use a Classic avatar. You will notice that this avatar and my own Classic avatar have different post counts.
These forums track posts and activity by avatar, not by account. As such picking one single avatar and sticking with it is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. As such, attacking them for using a retail avatar is just plain stupid.
Now, as to your complaint, there is nothing malicious or selfish about their post. All they did was express concern for the well being of the pvp servers, almost all of which are faction imbalanced, come Phase 2 on Thursday.
At no point in time have they advocated for changing Classic in anyway. All I have seen so far is you projecting your own stigma against players who choose to use a retail avatar against the person. A far better and easier case can be made against you as being “toxic” than can be made against Sraph.
It is childish and immature.

Just because they aren’t using their classic toons avatar doesn’t mean they don’t play it. I’ve only logged in to retail for the Halloween event(headless horseman mount) and to check out the 15th year anniversary yet I use my DK avatar(and not my classic) because the toon is my head RP of a character in a D&D campaign that I played in 20 years ago. Even though I like classic more. People that nut-hug classic are as annoying as stereotypical vegans. Know how you know some one plays classic? You don’t have to ask because they’ll tell you.
