I am hoping for Tanaris… with some kind of relic hunt with players choosing to side with goblins or pirates…
Phase 1 was better than this.
Dmg is out of control and PvP is bad because of it. If they fix damage, this could be amazing. As of now, C tier phase.
Raid skips are common in Retail. Seems very like Blizzard to give players a skip to later bosses in the raid if you only need later bosses (who will almost certainly drop epic p4 pre-BIS).
It was alright, it has it’s charm. But I liked the simplicity of finding a frozen murloc yourself and bashing it with fire a bunch. Personally I’d like something like 4 “murlocs” to 1 “rider” ratio with runes. Otherwise it’s just a discovery of a youtube guide.
A lot of casual players will drop off because the level grind alone. Newer players just don’t have that kind of attention span.
Actually, just about everyone I added to friends list who told me they were new to wow have not come back online for days and they were online every day for phase 1.
Agreed. The initial phase of p1 was the peak of discovering things, with this phase clearly having less discovery elements. Two of your runes are tied up in quest chains shared by all classes so there’s already less to play around with since you only have 4 runes left (for mages, two of them just drop off random mobs lol).

My brother was around for P1, but didn’t make it to P2.
He played an Orc Warrior and got the epic BFD sword.
He used to be an avid WoW player, up until MoP, but life has taken over and he doesn’t have time for WoW anymore.
It saddens me, but that’s life.
He still watches me play and asks questions, he just became a backseat gamer lol.
I know as a fact he’d be left behind hard this phase, most people are still leveling.
Why? It’s not like there’s anywhere to go for 2 more months. He can level and clear gnomer as he leveled up and cleared bfd and be on-par with everyone else. Sounds like “eh, I don’t wanna” situation rather than something to do with the game, honestly.

True, but if a part of a game triggers an, “eh I dont wanna” reaction out of a significant number of players who were enjoying the game just a month prior, that has to do with the game.
Asharaza has a lot of potential, even a unfinished PvP battleground.

Most certainly, I’m sure he could have kept up if he really wanted to, he even had different alts at 25.
I think he just felt his fun peaked in P1 and tbh, I can’t blame him.
I hope he comes back, but as time goes on, I doubt it. He’s still a gamer, just has too many other games he’d rather play than WoW.

Well I mean, every mmo has tourists. And the launch will generally be more popular than any patch. P1 was a tad more noob friendly, and thinking of that, it should’ve probably stayed that way. But no matter how good or easy P2 or P3 would/would’ve been - P1 would still be more popular. Just because it was first.
It’s normal to take breaks from wow. Technically, I’m doing it right now. Got burned out from retail and playing SoD.
They said they will be doing the least popular dungeons.
Mara is not one of those.
Also, Kara Crypts is not confirmed in any way whatsoever.
And, the phase 3 pvp zone will be Tanaris.
4 Dungeons to run at 50. ST, Mara, BRD, Uldaman. Assuming ZF is the raid (which it should be.)
Why should it be? I mean I like ZF but two random troll brothers as the last boss rather than a lore figure like Princess? Hmm.
Could be a very interesting tank swap fight with neat mechanics. Same with the prisoner fight after the pyramid gauntlet.
I mean no doubt you could do something cool with it. Maraudon just seems like lay-up though. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn it was intended to be a raid from the start.
