Ok, but with the new stable, I never thought about something. Do you beastmasters run with say two cunning pets or do you mix a cunning pet with a ferocity pet? Now that we can see the damage types next to them got me thinking about this.
You can only have one “main” pet active at a time. The second pet from Animal Companion (as well as dire beasts, etc) is purely cosmetic and the family doesn’t matter.
Personally my animal companion is, and always will be, my starter hound (worgen.)

The second pet doesn’t count as cunning or ferocity so we just run whatever looks cool.
