Perhaps they’re deciding to phase them out completely? Perhaps Battle Pets are going to go the way of Archeology?

This is so Wrong now

In Midnight zones, battle pets won’t require battling to capture. Just throw a trap and they’re yours. This only applies to Midnight pets and older zones currently still require battles to capture them. And this has nothing to do with Nintendo either…cause you still have to use traps in the older zones.
