Pet attack bind issue

either through using the pet attack ability from spellbook or a simple /petattack macro, a good deal of the time the command fails to register, pet just stands there doing nothing while on passive, seems to mainly happen if I’m mid GCD from an ability use.

Is this normal? I don’t have this issue with any other keypress, they simply work without issue or delay, but pet attack just seems to not register the keypress or the pet ignores the command more often than not.

Only way I can guarantee he attacks is to sit there and spam the key 5+ times, pref when not using an ability.

well that depends on how you define normal, the behavior you describe is normal, whether its supposed to be buggy and frustrating or not is unknown. you can however take advantage of this with AWS by playing with pet attack and claw macros to get the ghoul and the skeleton to attack separate targets.
